Classic era servers

hi
got 1 alliance and 2 horde chars to move from SoM to era
Any info about the era servers?

If you want to play on a PvP realm, pick the Firemaw cluster. You can pick any of the servers within the cluster, since it’s all connected. So, for instance, Bagobones here, is on Ashbringer, which is part of the same cluster as Firemaw. As are the likes of Mograine, Noggenfogger, Bloodfang, Gandling and so forth…

Also, I just helped move my girlfriend’s characters from SoM to Era. The only option given was Firemaw (PvP) or Pyrewood (PvE). You can move your Horde and your Alliance characters to Firemaw (PvP).

Will it let me do that ? Horde and alliance on the same pvp server?

Yes, the restriction isn’t valid when you transfer characters from SoM. Only if you create new characters on the Era servers.

This is news
crazy news … and there are no restrictions? I’d be able to play both chars horde & alliance?

This is true, and to add to that: the restrictions are lifted for all transfers: transfer from Era PvE to PvP works too.

There are restrictions: you can still only create either Ally or Horde on a PvP server. The fun part is if you transfer an Ally to a PvP server where you already have a Horde char, then you have one of both. And now you can create chars of both factions on that server.

You have for each one choice. As all PvE reamls are clustered it not matters.
For PvP also is OK, you go to Firemaw cluster.
If you want go non-English server or RP you’re out of luck.

You can play horde and alliance on the same cluster. For instance, my horde characters are on ashbringer and alliance on noggenfogger. But technically, both sets of characters are on the same firemaw cluster(server).

Transferred them all to Firemaw and seems to have worked!
All chars have name change flagged so haven’t logged in
Thank you guys

Exactly what I have. But it’s not a gamebreaker isn’t it? I mean it’s nice you don’t have to switch servers but what else?

I am not sure what you mean.
All it means is you can have all your characters on one realm and account. But you still have the usual 10 char per realm limit, so if you plan to have more than that, you need to spread to other realms anyway.
This isn’t a problem as long you pick a realm in the same battlegroup: then you can still send mail to your other characters regardless of realm and join same guilds etc.
