Classic is truly a great experience

I never played the game back in the day, I played a game called Tibia if people know about it, anyway!

I appreciate classic so much. I actually feel like the class I am, I feel unique, I have what others don’t and others have something I don’t.

I love the slow and easy gameplay, it makes me appreciate the game and the world, I can see what everyone is doing in a raid and I can actually look at the environment instead of having 900 weak auras and pools of stuff all over the place.

I’d love to have this slow and appreciated gameplay coming back to retail. Faster isn’t better, for me at least.

That’s great, glad you’ve found something you enjoy!!

In case you haven’t seen, there are Classic forums too, you might find the topics more relevant there.

I tried classic during the downtime before DF launched. I got a character to level 18 before I gave up in boredom and started playing FF14 instead.

It isn’t appreciated. Not by me, not by my friends. Not by the people who do retail endgame content.

The general feel and community vibes of classic are more MMOish but the game is very dated, people who think retails questing for example is bad have obviously never played classic, it’s very dated and is in a very dire need of an overhaul, some zones don’t even have quests or a purpose

Really? I love that slow swing on a big weapon with a huge crit. Feels awesome.

Really feel the difference from a upgrade

i genuinly envy you .

started to play SoD before new years eve and it was very boring experience. i hit level 11 and given up because its way to slow and way to boring

i just cant stomach wasting time on leveling

now if blizzard was selling boost to 25 i would be definetly buying those to spam dungeons butleveling itself is insuffereable there due to how boring and slow it is.

i get it that bad players desire that experience because they cant handle m+ / raids etc but for me its a no no :0

I play with floating combat text disabled. I find it clutters the screen (as well as breaking immersion). I can tell how ‘awesome’ my gear is by how fast stuff dies.

yes I agree

You don’t need this in retail. It’s a choice

But, yes, classic is awesome in it’s own way. That being said it’s dated in so many ways that I’d rather wait on a newer slow mmo, if one such ever comes.

Says the tauren paladin.

With the amount of tinkering they’ve done I do think it can be called classic any more.

You do realise that the tauren paladin is not their classic character, right?

Yes, that was the point. They complain about the current game being much different from classic but they embrace the changes in the modern game.

From what I gather, they just started playing classic for the first time. :') Also I really see no issues in using what the game allows you to use. If you can be a tauren paladin why not? It’s a race they like, clearly.

Is not like you can really avoid change in retail, otherwise there would be no classic servers and people would simply exp lock themselves.

Bit of a heresy on my end, but I wouldn’t mind starting at 15.

10-18 can be tedious without gear (my level 16 paladin has like 6 stamina and that’s all). Having leveled many characters in classic (era included) I mostly just rolled for dungeons. So for me it’s just a cost of 20 hours per character to unlock the actual game I came for.

Not a complaint, I survived, just saying.

I never complained

Classic lacks the fantasy races. And such I love about retail… But I can appreciate a good classic fan thread that doesn’t try to crap on retail at the same time…

Classic was a good era in wow. I’m happy allot of fans enjoy it still.

I’m the same, I don’t want Classic in my Retail.

Classic bores me so much.

Interestingly I read that they’re bringing transmog to classic. I think it’s a great idea.
