Classic supposed to be hard

I’m only level 18 but so far I’ve died more times than my rogue did when levelling from 1-110 in Legion. I have to use my entire arsenal whereas I retail you can get away with aoe spam. Learning your arsenal is optional whereas in classic it’s a requirement. Even when playing with a friend, if we pulled a pack of 4 mobs and were careless, we’d die.

There is no mythic content in classic so, eventually, if you compare the endgame retail will be tougher. That being said, classic is difficult in a way that retail is not. You have to think of which class you put into which group in the raids. There’s no smart healing, aoe heals will usually only target the target and the target’s group, and no one else. Just because some people have killed raggy already does not mean it’s easy. You try to compose a raid of 40 people and then you can come back and talk.

Don’t bask in someone else’s glory.

Does this mean I can play my oomkin in peace?

You are right, I don’t check WoW forums often because it’s full of salty people who just like to complain for the sake of it. But the people that are around me who know a lot about the game, or even WoW streamers were all saying that the classic content will be cleared very fast. And that’s what happened.

This Anpa dude is either a master troll or just trying to avoid to shoot up a school or something by making this thread.

If it makes you guys feel better, Method almost wiped to trash

No, you’re wrong. Retail is not an MMORPG whatsoever.

Anyone who thinks Vanilla content is harder than high level M+ or Mythic raiding is insane.

But let’s be honest, the people that actually say that have no idea what M+ or Mythic raiding is.

You couldn’t be more wrong. In classic I have to plan out my questing as opposed to blindly following the map, have to plan when to buy ammo for my hunter, as well as food for my pet. Not to mention actually learning abilities and talents. Just a few examples why classic is actually involving (and an RPG) while BFA is the depthless, RPG-less, MMO.

I don’t understand, you “hope” that people stop enjoying Classic? Who pissed in your coffee?

Classic levelling is harder & more involved than retail.

Retail raiding is harder than classic.

No-one is claiming otherwise, your post is a sh*t bait that I rate 1/8

“The classic experience” for me was the server community.
I went in to see how that worked out. So far i realize the majority is a whole other generation. It’s either extremely toxic, egocentric and/or unwilling to learn and adjust

Yeah everybody is the same and aren’t individuals.

I think people talk about general difficulty of doing world and group content where 1 mob is fine 2 mobs makes you low on hp and mana 3 mobs you are dead.

Elite Q or even some normal Q cannot be solo facerolled etc…

You dont get to see this in retail. Like never. You can solo faceroll 99.9% of entire retail content which is absolutly wrong. Only harder things are mythic+ and mythic raiding + maybe heroic. Thats just not enough. I am casual player and becouse of mobs actualy being threat in classic i am far more engaged than i ever was on retail. On retail i just play on auto pilot. Pull 20 mobs aoe dowm while being half a sleep.

How many players killed Azashara? 70% 50%? And how many players will clear Naxx? Retail canot be harder becouse classic do not have easy mods with covinience of pressing button and win.

I was doing Elite Q in Hillsbrad today. Full 5 man group with tank and healer and we wiped like 3 times befor we finished quests. Do you know how many times i died in pve cotent in BFA for its lifespawn? Exactly 0. You would have to be afk to get killed by outdoor mobs.

You are smart.

Some people for sure love to pat themselves on the back. I’ll have to repeat myself.

  1. WoW, both Classic and Retail, is a disgustingly casual game. And it always was.
  2. WoW is not a RPG, it’s a theme park.
  3. Stop comparing stuff, that is not comparable. Like having Legion gear and getting from 110 to 120, with 1-60 in Classic. If you insist on this comparsion, do it properly. Go and level 1-120 on a fresh character on a fresh account, without mail. Meaning no heirlooms, no gold, no bags, no mounts, etc. Then compare it to lvling 1-60 in Classic. Or the other way around: Compare leveling 50 to 60 with decent gear on Classic to 110-120 with gear on Retail. Wanna Classic mod on retail? Don’t use LFD,LFR while leveling 1-120. Any other comparsion makes you guys look like complete imbeciles.
  4. The vast majority of players in WoW are not really skilled, because the game itself was designed to cater to your average american Joe. Not a hardcore gamer from games like Ultima Online, Star Wars MMORPG, Everquest, etc. You don’t even have a chance of losing your equipment for good when you die. Filthy casuals.

P.S. Can’t get rid of the feeling, that the title of this thread really needs “REEEEEEEEEEE” at the end.

Sorry to pick this comment but what effort are you talking about? Both raids cleared on the 1st and 2nd pull with incomplete raids and undergeared and below cap players.

So again. Please do tell me what you get out of it in the next 4 months? I’m genuinely curious, and I do really hope you enjoy it, along with everyone else who’s into it.

This is, actually, not true.

Naxxramas was such a Guild breaking raid instance that less than 1% of the entire World of Warcraft community got to experience it.
It was simply too difficult for people. Granted back then the engine was s***, the pc even worse and servers were archaic by todays standards which probably didn’t help either.

This is not news, it was the whole reason as to why Blizzard changed raids and introduced LFR. They wanted everyone to be able to experience all content. Sadly, that also meant the game got hollow.

Well, classic as a game is harder, well depends how you define “harder”.
One part of it, raids are not - mechanically.

But they were designed to do them without addons, meanwhile retail are designed around dbm (which I think it’s madness).
Try playing addon free - as should be. And yes I am expecting “you noob, why would I bother myself if I can addon?” and I don’t really care.

People are going for easy mode 3rd party things and complain it’s too easy.

Damn, another person who got to 60 and did all the raids in 3 days.
