Evening, evry1! It happened so that for a while I am to use a limited mobile internet, something like 20Gb/ month. I was wondering if any1 has a clue how much traffic does wow classic eat, cause I’d be glad to play a little, but not sure I am ready to burn my package too fast. Hope somebody knows anything about the matter, ty in advance!
Generally speaking it largely depends on your activities in the game. I used to have a 4GB / month, and when I lost my Wi-Fi because I moved to new house, I could handle it perfectly though I hardly use my smartphone at all so that might count too.
But you can either reset your stats from your phone, or set the connection as hotspot in Windows and track the traffic usage. I’d say 1GB every 4-5 days? Playing average amount of hours per day.
Okay, got the idea, thank you!
Hi. I did some research on this because I was in a similar situation as you. The most common response from people was that casual gameplay takes 1GB per month and I can confirm this to be true from my own experience.
I’m going to be in the same situation next month too.
How is it playing WoW on 4G from Europe using smartphone as hotspot? Is the connection reliable enough?
Using TitanPanel. I was idling in Orgrimmar and had 7 KB/s in, 0.121 KB/s out. I will try and remember to check it when out questing or doing dungeon or whatever and report back.
In terms of speed it was absolutely fine for me while I quested for a bit, not sure how it would be in pvp or raid though
20gb will be fine, I listened to podcasts on YouTube and lowered the video quality to minimum while playing and it was enough for a month. 4g is more then enough for raiding, but make sure to keep your screen always on if using Android phone and the internet connection starts breaking after a while, I lowered screen brightness to minimum and used usb tethering to reduce the latency.
Like everyone esle has said, you should be alright, I lived in a hostel for a time like, only had mobile internet and I used to game every evenin on it so gl and hf I say!
Thanks for responses guys!
