Someone of you know about statistic? How many ppl play on retail servers and how many play classic??? Simple what the classic population vs. retail population
I don’t think they’ll ever release accurate statistics, and since it’s same subscription and some people play in both places it would be a horror of a task to count.
It’s pretty obvious which has more players.

classic population matters (it feels im part of it and i made some friends), i have a toon on retail on a dead realm and it dont cuz cross realm ****, it feels i never cross with same person 2 times, feels the same as playing retail on the biggest realm

I d be a heretic here but i think that overall population will be always higher on current version on wow, but it’s nearly impossible to verify any numbers.
And TBH, it does not matter for them, it’s one sub and there are many players like me who enjoy retail end-game and classic peaceful and calming leveling :]
