is that normal that hunter pet resist all my cc? and even if i nova it insta breakout of it… is this actually sane??? in 40 cast on pet not even once went in… im lvl 51 and hunter pet was 49
We can train our pets to have more of a specific elemental resistance but it takes up quite alot of training points, which means less for physical abilities.
Edit: It will be fairly common in hunters levelling since caster mobs hit pretty hard otherwise
What Swamper said, and also, it depends on the type of pet that you were fighting. ( polar bears etc typically have higher frost resistance )
it was a random Cat type pet…well pet resistance are rly something coz in 40 cast 0 cc . I dont think is fair since usually in pvp u dont have that much time to cast aganist a Hunter… I wonder if it was like this in vanilla coz this looks Nasty asf
Well there is two things. When it’s under Bestial Wrath and when not. When it’s under Bestial Wrath, it’s immune to all CC
Lets say the cat you were fighting had highest frost resist possible at its level, 95 base. It should only be a 30% chance of resisting the CC of nova.
Thats similar to the orc stun resist racial, which people complain about alot.
If the pet is under the bestial wrath effect then it is immune to all snares and roots plus it does a truckload of damage especially dps pets like cats, owls, raptors etc…
Also, on PvP realms smart hunters max out their pets frost resistance. Particularly in Classic’s incarnation of vanilla WoW since it could very well be named World of Magecraft.
