Classic WoW Weather Effects

I was really looking forward to classic WoW for this reason in particular, don’t get me wrong I am still enjoying the nostalgic levelling experience but this is something I feel is lacking.

I only started very late in Wrath and I watched vanilla videos on Youtube of the epic weather effects, starting as a dwarf with the snow in Dun Morogh, or the rain in Elwynn Forest, or the nights that were actually dark etc.

I don’t know if I missed something but I searched in the graphics settings to try and find weather effects to turn on but no luck, I was really hoping to be able to experience the zones all over again, pre deathwing destruction and with the ambience of the weather effects and sounds.

What does everyone else think? Do you like the weather effects, is there still a chance we’ll get them? or possibly even any graphics addons that might add them?

I can confirm that in Darkshore is raining, and it looks great!

ah I haven’t reached there yet honestly, I made this post after starting a dwarf and hoping to see cool snow effects in Dun Morogh.

maybe I should give it more of a chance, Im in Loch Modan now with still no weather effects there so I kind of assumed they hadn’t returned.

Wetlands is beautiful.

It all seemed legit to me, though now I actually use high graphics settings. Dont think that affects weather too much though?

The weather effects are pretty darn good too. Just right as I read your post:
