Version 0.2 (first Beta version, WE HAVE LEFT ALPHA) of the addon created by Joshpbarron/Saron and myself is now live!
This addon actively scans your parties and raids to make sure no-one from your Ignore list joins, and if one does, it pops up to let you know! More features to come in the future, but we hope you join in and help test it with us!
Also: We just got approved by Curse so installing is easier than ever! ITS ON THE TWITCH/CURSE SOFTWARE!
I think this addon is a terrible idea with the current antisocial community we are currently sporting. I know why you made it and I can agree that it was good for blacklisting rude players and ninja looters but with how half the players call each other bad it will just result in a shi tshow of people leaving because someone they think is ‘bad’ from that one experience in a dungeon joined a raid group.
That is something we are working on for a future update!
This is why we are avoiding having anything automatically posted in party/raid chat (something we had suggested to us when we first started working on the addon)
In its current state, this addon simply pops up on your screen, giving YOU the option to leave the group and avoid any potential repeat of previous drama/issues, and would be for the type of people you would usually have on your ignore list anyway
If people mass-use it… then they are gonna struggle to be in groups themselves without having “someone from your blacklist is in this group, do you wish to leave?” popping up
That is 100% something we are working on! We have two of us working on the addon and neither of us has ever touched Lua before so its a learning experience… a lot of trial and error but i’m sure eventually we will get custom lists working!
