Answer from a GM: The Clone service has been permanently retired, therefor, all clones that were yet to be activated until 26th of July were automatically deleted.

I cloned my main back in the day and still would never think about playing her. Nothing to do as a decked out 60.
Classic is about the journey… so ofc i also started fresh. You should also consider it Upright… because getting clapped by a mage as Naxx geared Ret Pala won’t do your self-esteem any good.
Thats just how the game works. It has nothing to do with self esteem. A naxx geared mage in any scenario should beat a naxx geared ret paladin. Anyway i dont know where that was supposed to lead the discussion.

Going into tbc and wrath wasn’t a mistake. There are good and bad to the expansions the same as vanilla.
I stick with my guild as the community is actually what makes any game fun.
Heck even Minecraft is fun when you have good friends about you.
That was the thing you always lacked tho. Friends. You may have a naxx geared ret paladin that allows you to slap lowbies but that’s literally all you have.
I do regret not cloning my main but would I have stayed and played era for 2 year? Hell no. We were all sick of era by the end and couldn’t wait for tbc.
I know you’d probably not be able to handle a boss with more than one mechanic but you also didn’t choose to stay if you remember.

I do get that ppl are mad / sad because they made the mistake and didnt clone their character. I also thought that i cloned my chars back in the day, cuz classic is the best game, but i didn’t somehow… But that doesn’t matter, im having a blast lvling my mage… Really couldn’t believe that the zones are so crowded again, it’s a real pleasure. So to everybody who is again mad/sad for their characters, dont be. Make a new char, you wont regret it. All the competitive min max guys are gone, it’s so much better then what it was in 2019. We can finally enjoy this beautiful game as it is.

One more thing, like i said ppl are disappointed for not cloning their characters ( understandably ), so that approach of your isn’t that nice. It can make mkre harm then good.
After all we are ALL here again for this great game and the playerbase, like in the old days. So a different approach wouldn’t harm. Just my thoughts.

Well any mage really should beat a naxx geared ret paladin. Its simply how the game works. If a mage loses to a ret paladin they just dont know their class.

Era opened the day the tbc pre patch hit, that is when the split happened for us. And you had to make a choice upon logging in.
So in the period between pre patch and dark portal opening (with waky tbc talents) we where already on era.
