It is such a shame those rings are only 389 ilvl
i have a 395 ring in my bag and i find it hard to replace the Assembly’s scholar’s loop since the proc is quite powerful.
at which ilvl you think it’s time to replace the 389 ring ?
When the sim tells me to.

Buy the 395 haste vers ring i have on AH and you problem will be solved

yea i’m gonna experiment with a couple of rings see what happens.
it’s just too powerful that i don’t think it’s replaceable in the near future at least

Rings do not contain main attribute, ilvl is not important.
did you read me mentioning procs ? 
Hm depends some tank may value them for extra stamina . There is a lot of it on much higher itlv rings

but eventually your character will dish out enough damage that the ring start losing value and doing less percentage of your total damage.
unless you expect we’ll be wearing the ring till next expac ?
I recently replaced mine with a ilv 398 ring. Best bet it to keep simming until it tells you its time to replace.

Depends on specs. If for spec X crit+haste is bis then there is no need to replace it before hi-end S2 gear.
Spec for which crit + haste is not good, hmm early S2 i would guess.

The ring gives significantly less secondary stats then other rings so eventually the 700+ more stats outweighs the proc.
Yes eventually. That would be S2 gear
430 = 1300 secondary stats
395 = 1000 secondary stats
372 = 800 secondary stats
Most classes have already replaced it.
If the rings were meant to have a long life span. The grind to get them wouldn’t have taken a couple of hours.

so i’m gonna start siming different configurations and see what i get

Personally I can’t be bothered with Simming. I realise that getting an extra 0.01% DPS is important to some people. Bit sitting waiting in a queue for raidbots to tell me that information is just time away from enjoying the game.
I just look up which stats are important and what Soft Caps I should know about, and then just stack ilvl for the extra Primary stat.
