So after 117 attempts on the Blazing Drake in Dragon Soul I was excited to see it drop now with the buff. But after running it 5 times now I feel tired… and beginning to feel like this “buff” is actually a LIE. And the worst part is theres no skip to end boss in this old raids.

It doesnt feel buffed at all. It actually feels like you NERFED the droprate! Yes NERFED! And that we were lied to about this buff to lure us back. We are human beings with jobs and families!! We dont have time to run raids 24/7!!!

I have been running this raid for years now and feel so dissapointed in this so called “buff”. Its all lies lies lies!! Enought with the lies already!!

I’m not justfifying the drop rate of mounts but 5 x a low drop rate mount is still going to be low. It’s not guaranteed.

When they buffed the MoP world boss mount drops it still took me many months to get them all. That was probably much higher than the effect of this buff.

By the end of the day, 5 percent is 5 percent.

You can’t expect a mount to drop because you run it twenty times, that’s not how math works.

Every time you kill it there’s still 95 percent chance each time for not getting it.

So while going from 1 pct to five, five pct is still relatively low.

It should be buffed then to atleast 10%-20%. 5% is still too low

I think this CB working only for the listed mounts?
And is it just x2 chance?
I want " Underrot Crawg Harness". It says “drop change: 0.16%”. Is that means its up to 0.32%?

If you’ve been on the hunt for rewards that have been eluding you, now’s the time to get them. The following will have drop rates increased by up to 10 times (and in one case, 25 times!), while your chance for Transmog loot drops is doubled in legacy (pre-Dragonflight) raids and dungeons:

  • All pre-Dragonflight legacy mounts from legacy dungeons and raids
  • Eye of Sulfuras (Molten Core)
  • Golden Hearthstone Card (The Nighthold)
  • Bindings of the Windseeker (Molten Core)
  • Warglaives of Azzinoth (Black Temple)
  • Thori’dal, The Stars’ Fury (Sunwell Plateau)

Some exclusions do apply—for instance, all Timewalking content is excluded, as are Pets and Toys.

You got 0.x% drop rate on those mounts and weapons. All related drop rates got increased by UP TO 10, that’s somwhere between 1 and 4.9% AT MAX, as I don’t recall any of those original drop rates going above 0.5%. Even a 9.9 or 10% (again at max, as there are lower than factor 10 boosts) would still be pretty low and five runs is…nothing for a run with such loot tables.

That factor 25 boost relates only to one single item which has not been disclosed to us.

And always remember that online drop rates always never are EXACTLY the rates programmed by Blizzard. They are always only calculated. They are pretty close but in reality most likely are a tad lower.

The event is not a scam, it’s just not as deep as some players expect.
It’s just x2 amount of drop for legacy loot system, buffed droprates for mounts and for old, but famous legendary items.
Droprate for lesser known rare items don’t seem to have changed at all. (Legion Mog Weapons, Shoulders)

I myself also thought that this event will be bigger than it’s described in the announcement post, i took this post as “highlight of biggest features” and there is will be many other untold things/buffs. But hey, Happens!

whats not clear on mounts is the 5%

is it 5% more (so 0.2% become 5.2%)

or is it an extra 5% of the drop rate? (so 0.2% becomes 0.21%)

i hope its the latter for lols

Where do you get the 5% from?
Mounts have a buff by a factor of ?? - 10. Not all mounts recieved a buff of factor 10.
There is no %-factor, only plain up to 10. aka 0.1% becomes 0.??%-1% at max.

Huh, interesting, where did they get that from :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
Blizzards official post only mentions “buffed by up to 10 times”, nowhere anything about percentages.
What am I missing here? xD

Instead of X2 so .5 drops become 1% lol… should give 5% buff and increase it to its over. limited runs for most ppl.

There was a blizz post on one of their social media which states that they give +5% to legacy mount and some lego drops.

It’s all a scam. They literally did nothing, it’s all a placebo effect!

I got 5 mounts where the most number of attempts was 11 and the least was 4. Also got the ragnaros hammer. I highly doubt that they didnt do anything. Especially because I am the unluckiest person ever when it comes to wow.
But I hear you, they can say anything to be honest since we dont know the exact drop rates. There is no way of telling what are the actual numbers are and if the effect is up all the time.

I know how you feel. I’ve been running dungeons and raids solid, since the start of the event and I’ve got nothing but bored with it already.
My character has always had crappy luck when it comes to wow’s useless RNG system, to the point, I’m convinced there’s bad luck attached to my account, so when they announced the buff I thought, maybe, just maybe I could actually get some of those ones I’ve been wanting for years.

0.5% becomes 1? 0.5 should be 5% if it’s x10

Blizzard system in general is pretty bad and people who play longer should have advantage. I like gw2 luck system for example
