I got nothing from Blizzard, but was notified directly by UPS which sent me an email status update every step of the way until it was delivered.
I can just add to the thread, got my CE a week ago, arrived on time but there were some minor damages like others itt, dented corners etc.
Not enough that I’d send it back to ******* spain and go through the cancerous process of reordering from the useless gear store site , which is also not accepting mastercard, visa or amex(???) and risk not even getting a new one, but yeah it is unacceptable this.
As someone mentioned, the problem is the exclusivity to the ******* webstore. All the countless of issues with card acceptance aside, it takes much longer for shipping, the cost is much higher (shipping not included on a 150€ purchase…) instead of just visiting the normal retailer [where i’ve bought every other CE since 2005]where I’d immediately notice if there were damages to the box…
I never collect anything gaming related (don’t even have any physical boxes) other than WOW CE’s and it’s sad to see that the newest one is the one in worst condition…
Blizzard should absolutely give some compensation for this.
I think your complaint is totally valid so just remove the starred bits so you don’t fall foul of the forum rules. Masked swearing is considered the same as swearing as it’s considered circumventing the filter.
Ananda made a great post highlighting where there have been some official responses from Blizz. Please do use the ticket system linked in the discussion to raise the issue with the gear store.

The damage wasn’t really bad enough for me to do anything about it, but I sincerely hope they take notice and package it properly in the future. While they charged a lot more for it this time I did notice that the EU store seems to have had the lowest prices of all the Gear Stores. “Only” €129.99.
I had no problems paying with my card, but I see that the order is still listed as unfulfilled despite me having received the box some time ago.
I would be very hesitant in returning it until receiving confirmation on a replacement as all but the German version were listed as ‘Sold out’ in every store the last time I checked…
Arrived in pristine condition, From Evri(Hermies) as well. Wrapped in bubblewrap and in a box.
I game arrived last Friday. The box was in pristine condition, but this is thanks to UPS handling it well and proper. The plastic bubblebag it was in is such, that it has no margin of error in package handling.
Im still missing the soundtrack cd and the card collection that once was part of the box, but i do love the pins that are now with the package.
Mine came in a pristine condition and was packaged inside a neutral box with packing paper and the CE box itself wrapped thick and tight in bubble wrap. 100% happy.

If i receive a product that is damaged on arrival, I send it back to get either a replacement, or a refund. It’s my right as a consumer.

I guess we could select one we fight for and trhen proceed to a celebration of sorts where everyone is dressed in suits and all proper… Then proceed to shout in midle of some speech “FOR THE -Insert faction/Dragonflight_!”.
But in reality, i just keep them on a shelf with other RP oriented mementos such as D&D Dragon, a Molag Bal statue and other stuff like that. Its fun to have cool stuff like that since im still like child and like all sorts of toys like that
As i understand it, it was the actual collectors box that was torn. This is not trash. It is actually part of why some of us order these things. If the box and its contents dont matter we would just take the digital edition instead and this is what i do with most games exept some special cases like woW where i have always bought a collectors box since WOTLK. Only thing i passed was BfA since i did not like the theme of that expansion and i did not feel like giving the extra support for it. Instead i took the digital edition.
Same here from Evri. Was put into a very worn looking box but wrapped in bubblewrap several times so it was all good.
Was very concerned ever since I saw this thread but so glad it arrived safe and without any damage.
Beyond furious and wonder how they thought it would survive in a plastic bag. So hope i get a new box shipped to me.

How is it looking like that broken? Was the plastic torn too or did it not just come with it?
For those of you who’ve contacted Blizzard about the damaged boxes, what have they responded, if anything?
It comes inside the bubble wrap and plastic bag and no further protection. Some of them have arrived in OK condition but it appears most of them are completely rammed like the OP’s. The condition of the OP’s box is completely unacceptable and it should be returned and a full refund issued.
That is weird because mine came in plastic, not just the bubblewrap but another layer of plastic, you know when you buy new stuff. Like the book also had plastic around it. So were they broken inside the plastic wrapping too?
Oh, you mean shrinkwrap? Yeah, that was around mine as well but that only protects against scratches. It does nothing against stuff like this.
Some really rough handling then.
I mean mine arrived in a really basic box that had been too big for the product itself and had been handled not so kindly, but at least otherwise it all was good. So makes you think that did they just leave it for the delivery company to handle the package instead of doing it themselves.
