Hello everyone,
I have created a TBC survey for the community. This survey is similar to the one that more than 25K people answered for Classic and the answers were fairly accurate when it came to Faction and Class balance.
I thought it would be nice to get another survey for TBC (I haven’t seen one yet) and might even help some people to decide which class or faction to roll if still undecided.
I tried to throw in “yes” / “no” questions for hot topics and on some questions a few friends and I were interested to see where the community stands.

I did notice I could take some options for class/race that aren’t available ingame, and some choices needed an “I don’t care” option.

And why did you not do so in the TBCC forum?

Very nice survey, some surprising results tbh.
Results don’t mean much unless you hit atleast 1000+ responses, even then they will probably be skewed heavily by the “forum persona”.
Still, nice initiative, I took it.
It’s actually not a very good survey. I miss a lot of options. Some main points here:
- Which Alliance race will you play? Only one answer possible - not enough.
- Which class are you expecting to be your main throughout TBC? - I do not intent to stick to one option only for all of TBCC
- What will be the primary role of your character? - Tank and DPS not only one.
- What professions will you be using at max level? (Select 2) - Nope, I want 'em ALL!
- Not including your main class, which other classes (up to 3) do you think you will play on a regular basis? - Here you actually HAVE an option for Not applicable (Yes I’m telling you that you are raid/hardcore biased here)
- Given the choice, would you play on TBC Fresh Servers, TBC “Progression” Servers or both? - What about TBCC Era servers, or level 70 servers if you prefer that name.
- Despite the paladins change, are you expecting the Horde faction to be the dominant faction in TBC? - No idea and I could not care less (PvP oriented view here - I’m strictly PvE) N/A should be a choice.
- Which Alterac Version would you like to play (in TBC or Classic Vanilla) - What about: None of them?
I was most surprised by 6% between Alliance and Horde (ladies first 
) Seems a very low difference
I did not create this setting because it is irrelevant to what I/we want to see.
When you look at the results, you want to see how many dwarves among all the alliances races, or how many warriors compared to the rest of the classes.
You are asking how many warriors among each race separated. Google survey would create a diagram for each race and would not consolidate the results in the end. So while it possible, it just complicates the analysis of the results.
I also avoided the “I don’t care option” voluntarily. Just put how you feel, even if obviously for many questions the answer is nuanced. But there is not a single survey in the world that offers all nuanced answer. Here this is just a representation of how people are feeling at the time and a tool for interpretation.

Thank you for the feedback. I know some people play both factions, have 9 characters in each factions or have all professions maxed out; sometimes several of each. I will have several level 70 too
But then just pick with which character will you start with TBC, or which one you really want to compete at your highest level.
It is no different than a social survey that asks you which option would you chose: Being immortal;
being Trillionaire;
going to space or whatever it is.
You might want to select them but you can only select one all but there are rules for a reason to those survey. Rules have to be applied so that the results makes sense and can be interpreted.
I am not too sure to understand you? Some people will only play one character due to lack of time or simply are interested into playing one character. Both Factions Alliance and Horde have this option?

Classic servers will still be available when TBC Classic servers are opened. Are you moving fully to TBC or will you keep playing Classic on a regular basis? (e.g. Raiding, PvP, Leveling Alts)
I didnt quite understand this question, am i going to play classic servers or classic servers that have become tbcc servers?

Hmm I see what you mean. I will try to word this a bit better
I am asking whether you will play Vanilla Classic servers (where max level will remain 60) alongside with TBC Classic Servers.
This whole classic naming throws me off. Vanilla was first called Vanilla, then Classic as of 2018 and then now Classic means both TBC and Vanilla so I guess we have to go back to Vanilla.
I think of it this way, classic is the project, it is currently on vanilla (original release of wow) and soon it’ll move on to tbc all the while still being the ‘classic’ project.
imo i would refer to each expansion or vanilla when trying to distinguish them, nobody here is playing vanilla 2005 so vanilla means wow 2019.
Is it possible to see the answers of those who selected a particular answer? Could be funny to see what those who actively play Shadowlands and plan to play Shadowlands and not TBC think of TBC-related issues (like 58 boost or dual spec).
Then your answers will be skewed.

Classic is the new level 1-60 TBCC (The Burning Crusade Classic) the new expansion, Vanilla and TBC was way back when.

Very interesting to see the large number of people who say they will be entering TBC with less that 1000 gold, given the countless number of posts I’ve read from people who say they’re running around with hundreds of thousands of gold in their bags at all time, and are making 1000g per day on a regular basis.
I was given to assume that I was probably the only ‘poor’ character on the entire forums (I don’t even have an epic mount) and everyone else was a veritable Bill Gates.
