types trash in lots of threads whilst keeping his maina secret, 0 heroic kills guarenteed
That does not exactly go by the Poeâs law.
I canât tell from this if you are just âtrolle-playingâ to reflect on the toxicity of âevil elitist jerk communityâ or you are indeed dead serious about this and consider it completely normal.
Are you suggesting players to âninjaâ items from those who actually play healer for that dungeon run? At least be more specific about this.
You should ever do this only if you play spec where you have basically same equip for both DPS and healing roles like shadow priest, ele shaman or balance druid, or the item is not contested.
Alternative is to just farm justice points from RDF and gear up with those.
Nobody want to see feral stealing loot from resto druid.
Enha shamans can also compete with hunters on gear, but should never roll on int mail if there is resto or ele shaman unless those are better equiped and wouldnt mind if you roll for offspec.
Same goes for paladin. I wouldnât ever roll on healing plate while entering dungeon as tank if there is paladin healer in group, and the other way around, wouldnât roll on avoidance stats item as healer if I see need roll from tank.
Unless the healer is in exact same gear class as them I wouldnât call it Ninjaing. And besides with the exception of Paladin (whose DPS option is Strength based) the rest have caster options whose gear⌠Mostly overlaps with healers. Obviously depending on Spec you get less benefit out of Spirit (Some cases like Shadow Priests do use it as a source of Hit though) not every upgrade for healer has it (and Int is still the king of stats for Healers anyway since bigger mana pool also affects your regeneration) so theyâre generally not that obvious.
Of other things one can do to mitigate early issues with Healing is to well enchant your gear. Obviously it does depend on ones professions but if you have one that can self enchant the gear⌠Go for it. Even if itâs just a leveling gear that 125 Intelligence from shoulder Inscription or whatever you can get from regular enchanting will add up to make a difference. Hell a lot of general enchants are dirt cheap on AH compared to material costs so grab a few int ones if itâs not impacting your gold too much.
We called them wrath babies for a reason.
Haha youâre pathetic
I did heroics with bad gear on my Disc pries, sure its possible to run out of mana⌠But this late into the expansions tanks shouldnt have to be healed that much. Also I have NEVER been kicked so far as a healer, probably around 150+ heroic runs.
And mana management is what makes the fights more interesting as healer IMO, if you do your heals right and still run out of mana, issue is noobs avoiding mechanics. Dont heal idiots staying in avoidable mechanics
There are two things Paladins canât cleanse - Curses and Stupid.
Also donât spam your dispels unless absolutely needed. For example last boss of Vortex Pinnacle will always cast Static Cling Twice before doing the Nuke so if someone gets caught by the first one you can ignore it.
Youâd think that. But Iâve been proven very wrong on my hpala.
A DK noless, taking on 4 mobs, hp dipping to 30k, i heal it up, back down to 30k in a second. Wondering if he forgot to put Death strike on his bar.
Forcing me to heal waaay more than i thought i would. Sometimes prot pala being far tankier.
Youâd think that but Iâve seen Prot Paladins absolutely refusing to use any of their defensive cooldowns. Like damn prot, you have a freaking free heal at 3 Holy Power thatâs working extra well when itâs used on you on 24 second Cooldown. Maybe use it sometimes instead of just slamming your shield every single time?
And if you bothered to read rest of that section, not just first two sentences, you could have noticed that Iâve mentioned this. Right in the next sentence actually.
Yeah I didnât read it till I posted. It was my mistake and I apologize for that
oh thats for sure.
and thats when Blizzard made their biggest mistake that costed them majority of playersbase.
instead to go back to easy wrath model they went into catering to tryhards model.
to be fair - unless it crits - even with 3 holy power its quite weak self heal . still ok one. but its much more worth to spend that on dps abilities unless you are on like 20 % health.
Being tryhard for u is moving the char and clicking a few buttons?
Cata is one of my favorite expansions.
It is my favorite for the design of some specs.
I have leveled and played 2 healers so far.
Healing is great.
Yes there is tight mana management for some specs (right now) but to struggle so much you get kicked from all (or nearly all) dungeons you join is a you problem.
You need to use your cooldowns and look into what triage healing is. Maybe even your spell usage. Guides are available online.
I will admit though that the average quality of groups i have had in RDF has dropped after the first full reset. Getting the stragglers and alts right now.
I havenât seen kicks for poor performance myself, mostly for ninja looting or offline/long afk. However as im always queued as healer i have no idea about poor performing healers being kicked. (Not saying i dont make mistakes, but a quick âoops, my badâ usually goes a long way to pacify group members).

To be fair even my strongest heal is at best 22-25k including shield. Thatâs not even 20% of Tanks HP. All at the cost if 7% of my max mana. Itâs really hard to keep that coming if tank does nothing to help themselves.
But this late into the expansions tanks shouldnt have to be healed that much.
Say what⌠You mean⌠5 weeks into an expansion?
My wog at 3 hp crits for 55k. ghihi
I feel sad that the extra reward for tanks/Healers has become almost non existent. The first two weeks it was almost guaranteed to get it as a tank. Lots of consumables for free. I liked that.
I farmed Heroics the first week of the expansion, I just mean that 4 weeks later it should be more common with geared tanks.
