I would like to congratulate all of you who bought the store mounts, because you’re part of the problem for contributing to the terrible state of ActiBlizzard and current WoW.
It doesn’t matter how you try to justify it, you can try and spin it however you like (unless you were literally held at gunpoint) but you cannot justify buying a store mount, just so that ActiBlizzard can boost their figures before Q3 to please the shareholders.
WoW doesn’t depend on Store Mount sales whatsoever. This is a fricken MMORPG that requires a monthly subscription, and already has WoW tokens, Pets, Toys and many services in the shop. “WoW’s 15th anniversary is here! Thank you for playing, but uhh… GIVE US MORE MONEEEEEY!”
And the sheep say: “Oh chill out, it’s only a bit of money…” Yes, a bit of money that contributes to NOTHING good. I can’t believe I’ve been reading comments like; “I bought the new store mount for my hubby and well at least it will help out Blizzard so that they can make more content xxx” Okay Margaret Jones, thank you for contributing to the shareholders, I am sure Blizzard won’t need to make any effort in future when they can just throw out another unique store mount for quick cash, hence the state we’re in.
Oh and the new mounts aren’t even unique - they’re plain lazy, so thanks again! You’re successfully contributing to the downfall of this once great company and game.
Some people tend to buy these things for the sake of their loved ones. Boyfriend’s a huge fan of wow? I’ll give him a mount for his birthday. Wife’s a wow player? She would love this, etc.
Not everything is black and white dude. Often times, what you consider to be blasphemy is what puts a smile on somebody else’s face.
All that aside, If i could remove the shop mounts and put them all in the game by a means of grind, questline, or boss drop, i would. But i can’t. Doesn’t mean i’m gonna hate every person who buys them or spit on people for using them.
I’m actually glad blizzard’s making money this way. Otherwise, they would have made things pay to win in order to compensate. At least a mount is just a cosmetic. The fact that you think if store mounts didn’t exist, then blizzard would spend their focus on the game quality is both funny and sad at the same time. Because that ain’t happening. They’ll just stop investing in it instead.
We’ll got that awesome deathwing dragon mount for free ingame and yet here you are complaining about store mounts.
You’re part of the problem as you keep supporting Blizzard with your monthly subscription while criticizing their practices. Why would they stop if all hypocrites keep on doing the same as you do?

NOBODY is telling you what you can or can’t do with your money, but what I AM telling you/anybody who buys them is that I hope you’re aware of your contribution to the downfall of this once great company and game, and please don’t ever complain about the game or ActiBlizzard in future since you’ll gladly throw them money for a store mount!
Since when is it a problem that a business is making money? Have we become so entitled that its up to us to control how much money someone can make? And what someone should spend their money on? Guy made millions selling rocks as pets in 70s and people considered him genius. Nowadays someone tries to make money and he is greedy, predatory, egregeous and other fancy words.
Free? you EARN IT by doing the 3(?) anniversary raids, there’s a huge difference. This is an MMORPG where you used to EARN great rewards for what you did, while paying your monthly sub. Keep trying to justify buying the store mount though, you will never be able to.
So just because I pay for a subscription (waiting for Classic btw) that means I can’t criticise them when they add ANOTHER store mount? Nice flawed logic! I guess I should roll over, tape my mouth shut and let them do WHATEVER they like while I silently play the game I subscribe for. People like you are why they can get away with it easily.
Oh and there has been like 5 store mounts added in the last 9 months, almost a mount every 2 months?
Think it’s quite disgusting too. £50 for an expansion when they come out, and nearly £120 a year for sub. That’s an absolute top premium price for a game, and we got BfA lol.
Add in well over priced services, and mounts we should be rewarded in game…
There are already over 700 mounts u can earn in game. Every activity in game awards mount. You can get mount from reputation, PVP,pet battles,collecting toys, raids,dungeons, exploration, brawlers guild ,expedition, crafting,rares, quests, achievements…
Yes. I would like to find some reasonable explanation. Are there not enough mounts u can earn in game? Are those mounts affecting gameplay? Do players not have right to spend their money on what they want?
