Congratulations Store Mount Buyers

How it exactly influences us?

As for the birthday gift. I would…well…I don’t know. Hey!!! I have an idea. I would simply say: No. Not interested?
Nobody is keeping a gun to my head and forcing me to take the gift and pay for it?

Because it’s the 15th Birthday.

It influence Blizzard’s policy.

We pay 45€ the expansion 13€ / month to play and now I still have to pay 25€ for “ADDITIONAL Birthday that are supposed to be collectors mounts”

because some lads decided that they had enough money to buy them.

I could literally turn this around on him and say congratulations you are the one that is contributing to blizzard bad decisions by releasing a 15 year old version of the game and getting you to pay full sub price to have the privilege of playing old, outdated content.

Well done you!

And we are getting Mini Nefarian pet + Deathwing mount+ Alterac Valley ram and wolf+probably consumable for faster rep and leveling+ those extra timewalking tokens+maybe some toys like Corgi goggles. Its like Dudley in Harry Potter: Its only 36 presents, last year it was 37.

You know, for somebody with a green name on the forums you’d expect them to at least have some common sense. “Blizzard is a business” A business that already requires you to purchase the game/expansion and monthly subscription, and on top of that, they sell pets, toys, services to change your name, your guild’s name, your race, your faction, transfer server, etc.

“Y-yes but Blizz… n-need more money, they are a b-business!”

Right. Keep saying that to yourself, Stockholm syndrome is no joke after all.

Bad comparison.

“Pushing your own personal morals on people” Oh, so stating facts that people are contributing to the problem of store mounts being ActiBlizzard’s effortless means of a quick cash-grab to please the shareholders, with 5 store mounts 9 months, is pushing my PERSONAL MORALS on people. :joy: Yikes

You are forgetting 1 thing. Its a video game. Its an ENTERTAINMENT choice. There is like multiple ways to spend the free time. Some play SP games, others shooters and etc. If you think that WoW is milking too much money out of you and the end product is not worth it Then…close your wallet and say NO?

You are acting like WoW is a goverment and its FORCING you to pay(like taxes).
There I would find your complaint would have any salt. Cause everyone is forced to pay. Whenever they like it or not.

But a video game? You like the product: You pay for it. You don’t like the product: you dont pay for it?
Where is the damn problem here?

How dare people spend their money the way they want to

I agree that having yet another store mount added in a subscription based game that should not even have a cash shop to begin with, is downright insulting.

The only reason Activision is bold enough to make a move like this on the 15-year anniversary of the game that made them billionaires, is because they know they are dealing with addicts that have more money than sense.

You’re welcome.

Would do again.

Except instead of criticising Blizzard for a store you disagree with, you (and many like you) turn it into lets criticise people who do want to buy the items from the store. People are individuals and they are free to spend their money or grind gold in game and get them for free, as they see fit. It has nothing to do with you. It is their money or time invested to grind gold.

I’m not defending anything, I don’t need to. I merely explained what has been on offer in the store. Imagine being unable to comprehend that this was announced back in May. That announcement included what would be in the Collectors edition and the digital items would be on sale in the store for those who wanted to buy them.

Blizzard is well aware of how many sales they make from their digital store. Judging by the number of the mounts you see in game that come from the store. Very well.

The game is doing fine, but if you listen to the doomsayers it’s been dying since TBC.

No, they are a huge corporation raking in ridiculous profits.

Giving away a virtual mount to your loyal customer base on an anniversary is hardly out of the question is it? If its a celebration then one would think Blizzard would see it as an opportunity to celebrate with their customers and giving a mount away would be a great way to do that.

Instead they want you to cough up!

Except they don’t want you to cough up. The actual anniversary event is not happening right now. When it happens you can participate in the event and earn a cool deathwing mount , some new alterac mounts and you get a pet for logging in

It’s a game. You disagree about this policy? Dont feed it playin the game. Noone forces you to play it.
You have the strongest weapon in your hand.

It’s time to simmer down and close this here.

We are fine with people providing feedback on the decision to add new mounts to the shop - but we won’t tolerate when this criticism becomes direct attacks on people who choose whether to purchase said mounts or not.
