PS: this is gonna be a rant.

So a friend of mine had a nice convo with a mod from the Gehennas discord.
Sorry for the long post, but this cannot really be ok behavior from someone who is supposed to moderate a discord server with 15k active users. (Name of mod can be provided for research purposes)

Backstory
Our guild has for some reason been banned from the discord and we wanted to figure out why, cause we could not find a valid reason to the cause.
So we had one of our new guild members message the only online mod at the time this topic took place, since he still had access to the discord

Convo went as follows:

Hi! Noone in my guild (Blurred text) can access the Gehennas discord for some reason, Do you know why?
MOD — Today at 8:25 PM

Again sorry for the long post, but what is this behavior from a discord mod?
We just wanted to get an answer as to why our guild could not join the Gehennas discord. and the reason given here cannot be justified??.
My friend is now obviously also banned from the discord

This is why I have stayed away from Gehennas and Firemaw since late summer 2019.

By far the worst realms in Classic; including the US and Oceanic servers.

The ”moderator” your guildmate spoke to. Should be name given.

It’s pretty obvious racism against someone to be called irani why would it be bad to be an irani? It stinks negativity!

Toxicism at a high level when he dont even try to help and then ban your guildmate aswell.
Post his discord name so we all can see and maybe create a new non toxic discord com for the gehennas players?

Whoever runs the discord can do whatever they want, it’s nothing to do with Blizzard.

If they were racist report them to discord.

Ah I see, your mistake was joining a local WOW discord server. A lot of mods are like this, sad individuals who have never had any power IRL and try to make their own little dictatorship, it really is pathetic. What’s ridiculous though is people keep joining these servers instead of making their own, or some fairer version where the mod isn’t a complete tool, or you could quite simply leave the discord and warn others about how terrible it is. Some of these places are the worst for cliques to form and breed degenerate bullying type of behavior.
