Convoke the Spirits should be removed or damage output lowered

No ability should exist in the game where it’s 100% kill chance if it able to be cast. in 9.1 the legendary going to make it 1 minute cd and cast an additional special ability. meaning within 1.5 you could get 7 ferocious bites or 7 starsurges within 1.5 seconds.

It actually doesn’t really work like this.

Yes, it will be strong, but do try to gather information before opening posts.

I mean, TECHNICALLY it’s not 100% since it casts a random ability. Hell, a druid could cast 15 moonfires.

Lol the guy has to be so mad if it happens xD

I love the enthusiasm, but lets be fair. 90% of the time they kill you before 1/3rd of a convoke channel finishes and if not a 3rd then they kill you in the first half :joy: cause the balance druid lego is fun and interactive.

if you live you have a brain, an immunity. Or weren’t at max range from the druid.

It has a ton of safety built into it. You’re guaranteed like 3-4 casts of your main ability.

Convoke is 500% times worse than Hunters Frozen Ammo was, or Rogues Burst Of Spam. Surely you can waste important interrupt and CC on Convoke, but problem with Convoke is the randomness it does. You just have to stop it instantly because either it does insane healing, insane damage or anything in between.

I’m only saying the chance IS there. It may be very, VERY low, but it’s there.

I don’t think you know what guaranteed means then

It’s not guaranteed, that’s the problem.

No, it is not there.

It is.

The spell will ALWAYS send at least a certain number of insert main spec spender.

I don’t remember the exact number for certain but I think it is 4. Assuming I remember correctly then the RNG of the spell is not how many Starsurges or Ferocious Bites the Druid will get, he will usually get 4, but in what order. If all 4 are together back to back on the same target, you die. If they are not, you may live. But these spells will always happen.

Shade already put it down for me; there are a ton of failsafe mechanics built into convoke that guarantees roughly 4 spell casts of your primary spender.

You can check out some high tier druid theorycrafting here yourself

Let’s put it this way:

Regardless of how uninformed that SPECIFIC portion is, Convoke as an ability in general is just too stupid to exist

Which is not a reason to spit uninformed nonsense and cry about it, especially when the information is so easy to come by.

It’s super hard to pull off convoke on higher rating in 2s (in 3s it’s even worse for sure). I am always surprised when it actually works.
Talking about feral here since I didn’t see boomkins at higher rating in ages.

As feral there is more counterplay and it’s easier to shut down.

Most of boomkin try to bait interrupt / ground before and cast it max range so you can’t stop it in time.

It’s really a long, long time ago I met a boomkin in 2s but uhm… I thought people found out by now how to deal with it. Most dps classes got a second CC (which ignores grounding) in case they fail their interrupt anyway.

No matter how “hard” it is to put out. No matter it can be interrupted, the ability is still peak stupidity. One button press, and it has oneshot potential. Just no.

It should’ve been reworked during beta to something different.

That’s literally the good thing about this covenant ability. It’s hard to pull off (speaking or feral). People just mad cause they fail. I was fighting a 3k+ r1 feral, poor guy couldn’t pull a single convoke off, this is the sad reality when you are the one playing it  There are so many ways to stop it and if your team wasted all these ways, then imo this team deserves to lose. You can’t be facerollin and failing whole match and expect to win :joy:

Just bubble it broo

Not at all

You can interrupt convoke, you can’t interrupt a rogue killing you in a global

That i do agree to however

Its such a boring concept, you would only take it for the damage it offers, never for the ‘‘gimmic’’
