Dark Heart was really the perfect patch to add new customizations to the void elves ! 
This patch officially canonized void elves with a high elf (non-void) appearance and void darkfallen, I’m glad Blizzard added some VE lore.

Certainly would be a good patch for it. Midnight though is a good time too… or probably any other patch in TWW… Lots of Void going.

I just hope that void elves aren’t the only ones getting something.
They already received more than any other allied race after they were released.
I’m not saying it’s enough, but my point is: All the allied races deserve (I’d even say ‘need’) more customization.

Void elves and BFA allied races need new customizations (hairstyles, jewelry, accessories, tattoos, beards…) like the three Legion allied races (lightforged draenei, highmountain tauren and Nightborne).

Erm, no. Nightborne, Lightforged Draenei, Highmountain and even Mechagnomes still have more customizations than Void elves. However, Void elves are the most popular of the Allied Races. Not sure why they are delaying so much with the customizations, perhaps for the very reason that everyone keeps chirping that they have more customizations than all other allied races which is not true at all.
I also made one recently and mentioned of the lack of customization as it were so big difference compared to my other characters races, its not a big issue for me but it definitely is noticeable if my other races have 3 tabs of options to select and void came with 1 page and 8 choises to modify.

Yeah we have 10 hairstyles on average if you exclude the bald one. Blood elves (fem) have 24.
We also have some really odd looking jewellery, some ugly bronze-coloured hooks and only like 1 nice one.
Also I wonder how long they plan to go without giving us tattoos / markings. Night elves and Nightborne have them, so why can’t Void and Blood elves too?
I have no clue lorewise but I also thought that they could use markings on theme of the earings they had, wouldnt mind having more hair options either youre right.

I wasn’t talking about their total customization count.
I was talking about receiving new options after they were released. They got more attention in that regard.
And as I stated: Yes, it’s not enough. They, as do all allied races, deserve more customization.
Thing is, they never did. In contrast to Nightborne, Lightforged and Highmountain who were all released in Legion and got new hairstyles, horn options, feathers, tattoos, jewelley etc, Void elves only got skin colours and hair colours that were copy pasted from the Blood elves. They also got a tentacle toggle to hide their tentacles, but they didn’t get any new customization.
I was looking at the alleria windrunner on cinematics and thought that the style of markings and tattoos could fit void elf, some rune type markings would fit too.

I think we deserve to look at least a bit like Xal’atath with proper customization options in TWW; come on, now… 
And also allowing players who’d prefer a more “casual” style go with some customizations that are similar to what a high elf would look like. More hairstyles and, especially, color options can be taken from BE’s and given to us VE’s! That’d make the race hype.

That’s just semantics at this point.
They received options that they did not have prior. That makes them new.
Now let’s end this silly discussion and just agree that they can use more options.
Need more hairstyles big time, and both VEs and BEs are well overdue tattoos and scars. Plus jewellery, I can imagine so many amazing void themed jewellery for VEs

They have way less options compared to other races, they could use more for sure. Lets hope they get atleast those jewelry and tattoo/markings at some point.

Tattoos alone would be a nice win. Jewelry while not the most exciting would at least be something. (Hope we get to pick jewel and metal color separately.)
I think we could use more hairstyles (tentacle toggle included and prepared for… narrows eyes at Blizzard) since thats a very common thing people request. But I also imagine we could use more eye colors and even some scarring at the very least.
Also if they wanna toss in some entirely tentacle hair options I would be so happy.

Also, this will be the very first expansion I’m not buying on launch guys. Gonna wait this one out, see if they’re cooking anything more exciting for TWW other than your regular dungeons, raids, and warbands. And delves.

Could easily see it interesting and good look made in the theme of the medusa goddess iconic hair.
I think markings and tattoos should be something they should already have and were surprised there were no options even tho others have so many for these. And I see rune type markings/tattoos on xal’atath.
For jewelry I would do the approach with some chains what they did for nelves, would like see something like these pendants and chains
