Honestly I would die to have a lovely black choker necklace with a hanging voidy diamond from it!!! Plus chains! Can never have enough chains, especially layered ones.
Imagine a Medusa look with red-void eyes and hair akin to the void-infused Azshara, with silver chains around the neck and a big void trident weapon, available as both a stuff and a spear!
Indeed! I really really want a braid hairstyle and a hair bun, plus a long curly one like the night elf one would be great as well!
This is a commission with a braid with voidy highlights that was made by Ramavatarama for me:

It’s a dream come true and I will always have my commission in case it never makes it to the game! I want both a void highlights option and the thick braid resting on the back!
It looks cool detail in place of the tentacles for the other hair options to add bit of void. I hope we see more of these customizations added at some point, this one were good idea for non void skin hairs.
Oof! This topic is around here in such long time, but no any progress yet?
As i can see, Void Elfs is one of most popular race, especially with new Void-themed expansion.
Its really a shame to see that Void Elfs have very few customization options, same for any allied races.
Yeah I don’t know what is happening, there are several threads up asking for customization since the launch of Shadowlands, that was effectively 2 expansions ago at this point. We were given some hair colours and skin colours but no new hairstyles or any of the above listed at the original post.
As a pvper and m+ player and since my 2nd fav race is velf im bumping this thread!
i love the hairstyle ideas and the eyes! Hopefully blizzard adds this ideas!
If compare the void options with 11 hair and other generic options as face/skin/colors
And then look something like nelf with 20 hair and 3 tabs of other various options for customization theres so big difference they could add something for void aswell.
Alright, sure; I will admit those races have not been on my radar because I have absolutely zero interest in them - I thought they only got a few haircolours and such.
So I was wrong.
However: Your statement is too general. It should be: “Void elves have actually gained very little in comparison to a very select number of other allied races.”
Because the same cannot be said for the other allied races; void elves aren’t the only ones in need of options. And that was my main point when I made that post. I am in favour of void elves getting more options; but not ONLY them.
Id say 30% is more than a “very select number”, theres only 10 allied races
But yeah, sorry, its just a thing i find a bit annoying as people say that all the time when other allied races have gained more, and other allied races launched with more.
In the overall customisation department void elves are one of the races with the least in the whole game.
The only race i can comfortably say has less without doing the math is kul tirans. Those guys… those guys are just tragic.
(Honorable mention to dark irons and vulpera for being on the low end as well)
I would like to see more for the other races too.
But mainly i just want improvements to the race i actually play
For sure. I would like to play Kul Tiran, but the lack of options really just kills it for me.
I suspect it has to do with the fact that Kul Tirans weren’t originally going to be playable.
Absolutely they could. The problem is they seem to not want to. You could say I linger in the past but it is absolutely a fact that the majority of the developers play Horde and thus have a general soft spot for Blood elves. I would not be surprised if several of the developers themselves see Void elves as a competition to their favourite faction and race. Whilst this is ofcourse not absolute, I do recall seeing one of the developers I follow cosplaying as a Blood Elf in the most recent Blizzcon.
Either way it just seems odd that all other Legion races got a full customization wave of options but Void elves did not and only got hair and skin colours. Then in Dragonflight they released Drakthyr but did absolutely NOTHING in terms of customization for any other race, apart from just a few hair colours for a small handful of races.
The War Within is a great opportunity to finally add that big customization wave that Void Elf fans have so desperately been asking for, since the ENTIRE expansion is focused on Void Elves!!! If not, then aside from them potentially having more plans for us in Midnight, I really cannot think of any more excuses for the developers not having given Void elves a proper customization pass yet.
I had feeling that they might get customization in tww cause of the void elf theme but it could also be surpassed by earthen hype. Who knows we might see more added in future however and this thread is packed with good suggestions which I would like to see some implemented in the game. It could be some content patch mid of the expansion who knows
Unfortunately I will not make assumptions on what the devs might be planning as if it doesn’t come to fruition then it only makes more room for disappointment
Brian Holinka had publicly announced that they eventually plan to make all classes available to all races for example, but statements by Ion Hazzikostas just prior to the release of TWW indicate that might not happen, which would be a great disappointment especially for Void Elves who literally share the exact same model as Blood elves yet they cannot be Paladins or DHs. They could have added some parts in the story to justify the existence of Paladin and DH Void Elves but this has not happened yet and again I cannot assume that anything of what we are hoping for will come true.
I imagine we hype earthen little bit in a week and then around winter there might be chance for seeing something added as customization for any races laking. Earthen takes spotlight now and then might be void and other races turn around winter but now it would be probably seen as wasting material to have release later if they did it with earthen. We pace our expectations as they would pace their content releases as a business model
