Midnight seems a good place for it since it will deal with all the “tribes” of Thalassian elf.

Yeah but would it not be great to at least get some class / race combos for everyone in TWW by then? TWW seems quite underwhelming to me so far. I’m not excited by Earthen and not particularly interested in Drakthyr since i hate the human female posture and running animation.

Girl it’s just criminal isn’t it? Two races that share the exact same models, both so popular, yet one is denied two classes the other has, for what… VEs being DHs could’ve easily been explained by stating they were DHs who then also joined the VE ranks subsequently…boo big deal.
And for Paladins, yeah it needs some thinking but I can sit down and think of like 4 different scenarios for them in one day to make a questline to explain why they can be them. I am convinced they do it out of sheer stubbornness, it’s a real shame for a game we pay monthly for that has had the Paladin class out for some 18-19 years.

They do it out of desire to maintain the lore as it is. I don’t mean that they refuse to move forward with the lore but that Void + Light = Explosion is still a bit of a hurdle.
I wish they’d put effort into these things. Lightborne Death Knights and Warlocks just shouldn’t exist, yet they are still an option to create, but it’d be so easy for Blizzard to put some new logic into play that makes them work.
Same thing with Void Elf Paladins. They technically can’t exist because of the antithesis nature of the two magics. They should release them with new VOID animations on all their spells. That’d be brilliant! Maybe even make it something like the Green Fire questline for Warlocks.
An easier option would simply be to have a flavour passive acknowledging why they can use the Light despite being filled to the brim with void - or Fel, for DHs. A ritual or a talisman is keeping things in check. Jobs done. Lore respected, advanced and enriched.
Heck, even make the lore tidbit about Forsaken Priests hurting themselves when they cast prayers as a passive. Strength of faith and will makes them not pop. No gameplay changes, just respect for the lore while making things work.

I’d like better hairstyles. Just copy over all the Blood Elf hairstyles for Void Elves and give Blood Elves the Void Elf hairstyles in exchange - minus the void tendrils for obvious reasons.
I agree with everything you say here tbh. I totally understand the issues that arise lore-wise with the contrast between Light and Void, and I absolutely 1000% support giving Void Elves a ‘‘shadow paladin or void knight’’ version of Paladins. Yes, it would be brilliant, it would be glorious! I’ve been trying to preach this since before Dragonflight even released and it is indeed a real shame that this has not been done yet, if it ever will!
Is it really that hard? Really? How come they can work on adding 6 new classes to Dracthyr with recoloured animations for their Priest class but cannot recolour the Paladin spells for Void elves. It would have REALLY given the Alliance a SPECIAL flare to their Paladin ranks. And Void Elves would be sooo much more special than they are now. They would’ve had their own unique feature going. If Blizzard truly likes the Void concept of Void elves, they SHOULD do this…

It’s a shame you can’t pick whatever race you want for your visage.
I would try Dracthyr if I could choose an elven race for my visage as I do not enjoy Human female model - I don’t like male characters.

100%. I wonder if they cannot see the myriad of issues lying with the human models, both male and female. I don’t understand why they need to stick to that ‘‘kitchen wife’’ look and the female human model looking like she has pissed herself whenever she runs.
We need more, -NEW- hairstyles. I don’t want everything copied over from blood elves. It would probably be the easiest thing to do but I want new stuff. Not the leftovers from 20 years ago.

Maybe dracthyr? Before that the largest customisation addition to faces was nightborne getting a different eye shape I think.

Yeah I honestly don’t want them to copy anything over (unless they’re just going to share all hairstyles to everyone) as the blood elf hairstyles are really old now. Void Elf hair textures are far better and we just need some more hairstyle options.

I don’t like most of the ‘new’ hairstyles. They just look off to me for the most part. The Blood Elf hairstyles may technically be older but they just look better overall and weren’t created in an era that promotes that dysgenic looking half a shaved head hairstyle.
By all means update them if need be, though I want conventionally attractive options, particularly for male Void Elves.
Especially when a not insignificant amount of role-players are portraying their Void Elves not as Void Elves but the High Elves repeatedly denied to them as a proper, separate option.
The Void Elves need new hairstyles, but they need new hairstyles without baldness and greasy hair !
