Cornered By Discord Users

lol this is not a real thing is it?

This, flat earth and “covid is a hoax” seem to be leftover fecal matter from 2020.

Have you tried flushing your brain, OP?

No he recently posted a other thread on how unfair wow is for expecting others to use discord.

He’s basically trying to fearmonger to get people to agree. Lol

discord

found the problem

As soon as I saw the poster I was like “Oh dear, I know what we’re going to see here” and indeed we did.

Sounds to me like there is actually no truth to these claims, that bizarrely for some reason the OP has a grudge against Discord (Perhaps they had shares in Skype), and also the rather surreal supposition that it only exists to facilitate WoW, which it most assuredly, does not.

Madness.

Afaik, yes. If you don’t pull your weight or follow the rules set by the leaders you are removed from the group.

You don’t boost the Discord server, you pay the guy directly via PayPal for example.

Never said they don’t, but that doesn’t stop these groups from asking money and others from paying them. Just like regular pugs on retail don’t stop boosting services or m+ and pvp coaching for real money either.

Blizzard will probably release a Discord token to make money off of it, don’t you worry.

:joy:
That’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever heard of happening in the raiding world. If I were to pay someone to enter their raid, I expect to be able to just AFK and be traded loot afterwards.

I have never had to pay to join any discord. Discord is a free platform that many communities, guilds, friends etc use across the board.

You can do like a monthly subscription to Discord via Nitro but it just gives you some minor perks and you can server boost, but the bulk of users just use it for free. No one can claim your benefits, though some larger discords will give boosters some minor perks.

Discord isn’t really any different from any other comms that have been used over the years, teamspeak, ventrillo, mumble etc etc.

Boosting communities also have discords, they have their pricing set up very clearly and you can verify that your seller is legitimate and you are not being scammed etc. That is wholly different from joining a discord for a random raid, or other group content, that you can just leave again after you are done.

Ah, so the topic is about RMT in classic not Discord  Well, it exists, yes. Just like retail. Title is misleading in this case though.

In that case it’s not a Discord problem, then it’s just the regular buying boost service, which happen to use Discord instead of IE: Teamspeak-Mumble etcetc… And to that regard this whole thread is missleading making it out like Discord is to blame for a “problem” that has been around for over a decade…

Discord sux before it requires you to open wide range of ports on your firewall. I miss Ventrillo or TeamSpeak times.

More like blizzard nitro

Can someone please put me this gif of the spanish guy laughing to the op in this thread.

Thank you?

For anyone with gif capacity, you can google him, he is called ‘El Risitas’. I have honestly never watched a youtube clip of someone telling an anecdote in a language I don’t speak before, and found myself laughing along, even though I don’t understand a word he is saying. His laugh is both hauntingly eerie, like a squirrel being choked out, and at the same time so infectious that you -want- to laugh when he is laughing. Sometimes comedy really does know no language barrier
