Crafting Orders are a failure

For the love of god just let us sell stuff we craft on auction house. Nobody uses crafting orders, if they do they always put laughable pricess that arent worth the effort. Another issue is that I dont have time or want to spam chat 24/7 just to get one person that would want me to craft them something. LET US SELL STUFF WE CRAFT ON AUCTION HOUSE and stop wasting our time already.

They just need to make it clearer how to fill them. I’m in an active guild and I am the only person who has filled any orders, people don’t understand how to do it (to go to bench) because game doesn’t make it clear enough.

I don’t understand how to use them… still, after exactly a month.
I left the trade chat as it was looking like being in a fish market and I don’t like interacting with people in whispers like drug dealers.

I just want to go there, people set the price for it plus mats, I come along skipping “la la la la”, open the orders: nice ring: 50k + the mats! DONE! AH, buy the mats, going back to orders, click, crafted. Thank you.
Instead… I don’t know… Should I put everything mats and stuff there, put a certain amount there and hope some good samaritan comes and make it for me?

System sucks, and I always look at the bright side of the game.

or people dont carebecause they dont see any point spending tens of thousnads of gold on mats for stuff they can get in raids and m+ .

if you raid and m+ why would you craft anything ?

The ordering system should have been part of the AH. Splitting it into two was a mistake. In gw2 people can order everything through the AH and there it is working great.

Took me an entire hour to understand how it works and yet to actually try it out since my professions and recipes aren’t good enough and right now it’s not a priority.

Will definitively give it a go when I finally get on improving my professions but that is probably not for a long time yet.

Got to agree. Confusing system.
One of my guild members told me that if I create one I’ll need to add 100,000 gold to the request otherwise it will get ignored! I’m already supplying the mats and now I have to pay 100k…?

A lot of crafted gear is actually stronger, if i used all crafted stuff I can make tier gear look pointless (blacksmithing, jewelcrafting and leatehrworking to make most slots).

The issue is crafting orders are badly signposted/explained and that sparks are once every two weeks…the whole professions build was a nice idea but badly implemented and made stupidly complex with the specialisations having gone nuclear.

Ignore the guildie… if you supply all mats just stick a fair tip amount, most people are desperate to see ANY crafting order appear. Its normally empty.

Sums up my feelings very well.

Around a week ago i saw a guy that wanted ilvl 422 pvp gear to be crafted for 69 gold xD I dunno if he was trolling or not but lol. Crafting orders should have fixed pricing depending on different things

As far as I understand, Crafting Orders are meant for items that are going to be soulbound. Problem is, I have to go on alt to make orders on my main because there is nothing on the list for me.

Fair tip is liek 100 gold max after all without orders you cannot realisitcaly level up your proffesions.

Failed system is failed

Because its “free” gear ?

If u do m+ your hughest vault is 421 which is weekly .

Your highest valir upgrade is 415, which is caped.

Your highest end of dungeon is 405

Your highest crafted item with stats u choose is 418.

I dont see a single reason not to craft an item this early in expansion, no matter what content u do.

Yesterday I stood at the Jewel craft orders table and watched the orders. There were plenty of orders for Rings, Neck, Gems and some Battle Pets. I watched as all the 2k and above disappeared fast and all the 50g tips were ignored. I don’t think that its orders are the problem - rather the tips that are problem and the fact you can only craft 20 orders in a 24hr time frame. I also don’t believe everybody is actually paying attention to the craft orders preferring to give the orders to guild mates to help them level up their skills.

I for one prefer this order system than the AH system where, as we can see by weapon enchants, players cant hold the community to ransom with absurd prices. I just don’t understand why enchanting is not part of the Order system or at least I cannot find any enchantment order that I can place. I mean who wants to pay 80k for a weapon enchant whereas I can provide the mats and tip what I think is appropriate?

The problem isn’t work orders imo, but the lack of sparks… meaning we can max do 1 (excluding gems and what not) work order for a piece of gear, every 2 weeks.

Additionally, with the profession rewamp a lot more people are doing proffesions, so that one spark you can use to make a work order many people just use themselves to craft an item.

You can see that work orders work, because all you have to do is look how many orders are up for that neck. Last i checked it was 200+.

But because that neck is so powerful, and a weapon is genrally best upgrades to get, it means LW and tailoring ect appears dead right now, because noone has the spare sparks for it.

Edit:
Also many communities/guilds help each other, so work orders where possible goes to friends and guildies.

We’ve had 2 sparks so far, and a new one today. 1 of mine was a personal order for wpn.

So in 4 weeks i only had 1 spark to spare, which went to the neck.

Well yeah, isn’t it obvious?

Fair tip is like 4-5k.

If you want me to do your order and wasting insight, then at least pay that.

NO, else I wouldn’t complain about it now would I?

Well you mentioned it perfectly in your post, Idk how you failed to comprehend it from your own sentence.
