Criminal, dwarf rogue GANKER too far

If he’s been in Hillsbrad for 4 months it means he has not been anywhere else for 4 months.

Finish your quests and move on, he ceases to be a problem for you.

Then you haven’t played long enough - I’ve seen pservers on TBC where the same few people would constantly turn Quel’Danas into a warzone. In fact, it was way worse on pservers than it ever was on retail.

The majority of the community that takes an issue with what OP does already plays on PvE servers (or monofaction servers) instead. Even the very original WoW handbook from 2006 strongly insist on basically never expecting anything other than the worst from the opposite faction, and how ganking (even repeated ganking) is something you subscribe to when joining a PvP server.

If you don’t like a ganker on a PvP server, you join a guild and ask for help. Players will come to find and kill the ganker (rogues are pretty good at using their low level guildies as lure for gankers). This can take day after day of back and forth, with extensive engagement from both sides that can take hours everyday. If all this isn’t for you and you just want occasional PvP instead, then either join a low pop PvP realm (I hear Zandalar is nice in this time of the year) or go PvE. High-pop PvP realms are not for gank haters.

P.S.: And as Trixie said, you always have the option of questing/grinding elsewhere. Being on a PvP server sometimes means you just can’t play in certain areas and you gotta accept it. Back on Hakkar EU as ally in 2006 I spent entire levels just grinding in secluded areas (like the lvl 40-41 wolves in front of Aerie Peak) because the typical questzones for that level (like Tanaris or southern STV) were basically warzones.

Let‘s face it…no person with a healthy mind would do this months over months.
Don‘t be upset about it - this person might has a very bad real life.

While playing a game solely for enjoyment, in an mmo such a person can ruin your fun and let‘s be honest an mmorpg like WoW caters to these special people too. After working I just wanna relax and have fun - just roll on a pve server. I did after p2 in Classic and never looked back.

Personally I would just say move on to one of the other zones and level there.

Maybe that’s his life, and you make him so happy opening a thread about him. You fed him with dopamine for the next 2 years!

This all reminds me of an Orc rogue named Angwe from many years ago :joy:

Haha no I didn‘t open this thread. Well I don‘t even play Era atm just waiting for hc

That make wanna star playing Rogue again. Gear up, and hunt the miserable players like the mentioned Dwarf. Unless he is doing it, to provoke reaction (wPvP). Then it would be a pleasure to face him.
Classic needs a system, where dishonourable people, become target of every other player. Being able to attack them even in a faction or neutral zone, and knowing which zone they are playing at any moment.
By the way, I am leveling my Shan at Hillsbrad this days. There is a lot of wPvP. I too wish, it stayed between 25-40 level. More challenging and interesting.

Maybe he was hurt a lot during leveling, and now taking his revenge. Weak mentality.

I wonder why you people keep bringing up “it’s not against the rules”.
How about we change rules then? I am not angry - I got killed by this deranged individual once and found it really pathetic yet funny at the same time that there is an actual person doing this. I would actually find it annoying if he was using scripts to do it.

Anyway as I was saying this has become a problem (not for me) but for blizz themselves. While I waited as ghost playing something else and occasionally alt tabbed to read chat I could see why people would want to quit over this since they don’t have any way to fight back and hillsbrad is quite essential. If the system is shi* and allows this person with clearly malicious intent to do this all day then yeah, go ahead and call this person out/shame them and most importantly let’s make a change then. I have absolutely no remorse for such individuals and I am sure most people would agree. Only hard thing would be implementing something that would regulate such behavior but it’s not impossible.

If a 60 runs past me and decides to be a di*khead and kill me - fine by me.
If a 60 shows up just because I killed his equal level char then lol - still fin by me.
But for this, I have no respect.

inb4 “lol 10 people leaving will surely hurt blizzard”.

Just another insignificant child with no life, hobbys or friends.

Don’t give this nothing the attention he so desperately craves for!

He will get the bill for his subhuman behavior, trust me!

Because that means Blizzard can do nothing about it.

“We” cannot change the rules, only Blizzard can, but they haven’t since 2004. PvP problems have PvP solutions, is usually their answer.

I don’t either, but there is nothing that can be done, unless you find someone to gank him.

Actually there are other levelling routes that don’t involve dungeons.

Except that’s not allowed on the forums, rules again.

You add nothing to the discussion.

We are at the point where words alone are considered harassment and can easily get you banned if you get heated over something but were not in the past. Why did it change? While I agree with what blizzard has done with restricting “in-game free speech” (to an extent for which blizz is far beyond) I think they should also do something about toxic behavior in general. For me actions > words and right now we have a situation when you can rightfully get heated over something and use “wrong word” get banned while this deranged individual is free to grief hundreds of people to ruin their day and for no gain too other than hope for some infamy in 20 year old game.

This really feels to me like real life situation with “”““prankster””“” Mizzy in UK who freely harassed people, walked into their houses with for some tiktok clout with no repercussion but god forbid you say something offensive on twitter then you’re gonna get loicense checked real quick.

Neither of these people nor player mentioned in this topic nor the UK “prankster” are my problem but I still would like them to see some consequences for being a shi*head for some selfish reason.

I hate constantly listening “lets get rid of the toxicity, let’s get rid of free speech” crowd but guess I will join the crowd now. @Devs? Cmon now.

Toxic behavior has no place in world of warcraft!

Dont talk to dottie biggest troll behind a ”im following the rules”-mask been for 6 years.

Anyway lock this thread blizz its just kill the nub i do it like 5 times a day

It didn’t change, it got enforced more.

How often does it have to be said. it’s the rules, the ones Blizzard make that say something like, you cannot be reported for ganking on a PvP realm. If people don’t like it they are free to choose PvE. Ganking has always been part of PvP realms.

I saw he got arrested and jailed for breaking an order that was already in place.

Toxic behaviour needs to be removed but attacking a player on a PvP realm is not toxic.

One more thing, free speech is not a right in this game. Free speech is not the same as insulting people.

Agreed, bet this guy never jaywalked in his entire life lmfao.

Jaywalking is not illegal in the country I live in.

Stay on topic troll how is this relevant to a nub ganking

Nobody says that attacking a player on a PvP realm is toxic.

Making it your life quest to ruin everyone’s fun for no reason while they have no means of fighting back is indeed toxic.

Definition of toxicity:
Toxic behavior definition refers to a person whose behavior and ongoing actions cause harm to other people by physical or mental means . These are the people who spread negative or toxic stress or traumas on others behavior.

Does it apply to what this rogue is doing? Yes it 100% does
I am waiting for your excellent comeback.

Remove toxicity from WoW :))

I think you know what my comeback will be. It’s not a nice thing to do but it’s not…

If it’s red it’s dead is something a player can do.

Game Masters will not address situations where you are repeatedly killed by the opposite faction.
