Some time ago we have gotten the ability to cross-realm and cross-faction with friends etc. What is holding the dev team back, from letting us using cross-faction ingame talk. Such as /say chatting & General/Trade chat in Valdrakken for trading purposes. We are allowed to chat with eachother, in BG’s, Arena, Dungeons, Raid and much more. But we’re not allowed to use chats in cross-faction cities. Such as Valdrakken and Dalaran etc.
This got me curious, so I just checked: I’m not on an rp server, I can buy the elixir at the AH for 34 gold, and at the vendor in the Underbelly for 29 gold.
Pandaren, dracthyr, void&blood elves, demon hunters can talk using their specific languages. I use the void to blood elf communication almost daily(while subbed, that is) since I found out about it in BFA.
Really? I never really paid any attention with normal dungeons. I’ll have to look again when I level up this new hunter. I only thought it was in LFR/Normal/Heroic/Key runs, where you had cross faction play.
You can have cross faction play in 2v2/3v3 and rated battlegrounds (and solo shuffle but there’s no LFG for that). So when a Horde leader lists in LFG and you’re Alliance you can’t whisper them.
Maybe a bit offtopic and I may be the only one to feel this way, but why won’t they just add simple buttons on the side of the chat for all these commands instead of having us type “/instance” and stuff alike.
Well, do i have the solution for you. In the base UI, bottom left side of your chat you have a bubble you can click. All the options are there, excluding some emotes.
Also, to make it easier, write /i rather than /instance, /ra, rather than /raid, etc. Once you get used to it, you’d like it way more.
