no thanks i’d like to not have alliance settlements crawling with horde and vice versa even if it is a garrison.
any step that brings horde and alliance closer together is simply a terrible one

Luckily i can kill those, at least
yeah I’m not gonna pretend I’ve never stumbled on Horde ERPing in Elwynn. Sometimes with Alliance, sometimes just two Horde that seem to have gotten lost
I’m not going to pretend that Horde don’t go to Elwynn for ERP.
Me mentioning that I was on Cro at the time just added to the absurdity.
I’d probably be as put out if I was flying over Elwynn on an alliance character.
It was more just the “joke” of me being in Elwynn means i was looking for ERP is the same side eye people get when they spend time in their garrisons.

It is a phased-off area, my friend. There is no need to worry about what people decide to do there, or not, the game is big enough after all, and even without that, before the Garrison, and if people were smart enough not to do it in the open world, they would utilize dungeons. Just because some do does not mean all do - and just because some do, does not mean that it could not be used for something else? There are plenty of good opportunities within for events, gatherings, etc.
I know some people have stricter stances than others but it is a win if those kinds of people are in the Garrison, and not in the open world? I’m not even talking about the OP, but in general.

It’s the internet. Whatever tool you give people some are going to abuse it in the most extreme way possible. I mean look at all the various kinds of depravity we manage with simply the written word online.
There is just no excuse to be suspicious of people using a tool or be against expanding use of it because “maybe ERPers”. If you’re suspicious of somebody ERPing in a Garrison or dungeon send a report so that the people who can actually check and decide what’s going on can judge.
Not gonna comment on the implication that people /who Garrison to find potential ERPers though, apart from to say it is what the youth these days call ‘cringe’ and ‘sus’.
This quote is actually 100% correct. The less this is visibly seen going on in the world the more it helps to spread that it is a taboo which in turn makes others think that, if they are going to perform the act in question then they certainly should not be doing somewhere anyone can see or infer what’s going up.
A small brush doesn’t clean up well without a dustpan to sweep the dirt into.

i try my best not too but when i see two people on my friendslist in the salma district instance my eyes do squint a little, benefit of the doubt or no. oddly never felt those same suspicions from garrisons.
while the reputations there, i do have to echo what others have said. garrisons have newer hd buildings and lack the rp’ers bane of phasing and high-level mob density. if i have one good thing to say about dragonflight its that it seems to have a lot more mobless locations that are rp-friendly, a trend i’d love to see continue. 'til it does in more mundane locations tho. cross-faction garrison would be a good start

I don’t wanna be that guy because while I wholeheartedly agree garrisons should be cross faction at this point, that screenshot was more about the guild than the person. This is how they refer to themselves in their recruitment thread.

sorry, some people use gear in their ERP outfits, so gear has also been removed. Everyone now wears identical bland robes from 2004.
