Cross-faction garrison visits. Please...?

That’s a shame if true, but the moral of my replies was that trying to justify antagonistic posts as being motivated by a ‘hunch’ that the OP was associated with something suspect – and being unable to substantiate it when questioned – is really just lame, bully boy behaviour.

Being right in retrospect doesn’t make the initial behaviour acceptable.

True – I guess it depends on whether they perform those activities in-game too or not.

And digging stuff up outside the game as some clever gotcha moment is super cringe.

Absolutely. But we shouldn’t pretend OP wanted it simply for “guild meetings”.

Absolutely, that’s why I provided some sliver of proof instead of merely assuming they would simply use the garrison for ERP.

I would argue that the fact that the best that has been brought up about them is a slightly suggestive description and something that is on an 18+ website is a good indication that, if they do partake in such activity ingame then they’re the sort that are at least keeping their activities hidden and not forcing it on the general public or risking said people seeing it.

It’s not a perfect solution but it’s frankly the best we can expect.

I’m saying it doesn’t matter why they want it and, if they do want it for ERP I’d rather them have it for that so they have a place they can do so without inflicting their stuff on nonconsenting individuals.

Why shouldn’t we? There’s some business about the guild having potentially ‘suspect’ inclinations, but why does that mean the OP doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt?

They haven’t done anything to elicit accusations about what they might want it for. Morality policing everyone and making assumptions about them without basis really isn’t the atmosphere we should be encouraging.

A bit late to the party I know, but we had this in Legion.

Quite certain we haven’t had cross-faction shared tagging and looting of normal mobs before since Legion? Since we cannot really level together now, in Shadowlands, without issues in kills and looting.

Yeah they removed it again after Legion which was dumb as :poop: but blizz be blizz. Thinking “you gotta now dislike the other faction again, so no more mob-sharing :D”

That part I did not take notice to, except for the rare tagging which is still there.

Siggy, do you have anything to add except namecalling?

I know there’s some history here but it’s not for this thread and we’re keeping it quite nice, calm and civil.

Report for derailing/inappropriate, ignore it and lets get some peace and quiet.

Don’t even know anything about the OP, but even so, this seems better/best. Unless its a person who actively reveals themselves to not be the greatest of people in the thread, its nicer to go in with an open mind and take it sincerely.

As for the suggestion itself, I also don’t think its too bad of an idea in general/if they add a newer version of Garrisons at some point as well. With cross-faction play being more promoted it makes sense on a technical level. More cross-faction interactions generally also serves RP better(Like the tongues elixir, which has made cross-faction rp/rp-pvp so much better and easier).

From a lore standpoint, depending on how much they go in the direction of more peaceful terms between the factions, it would make sense as well.

As have already been said by others, the downsides of it being used unsavory can be applied to anything in the game.

Before it was garrisons I’m pretty sure people used to use dungeons.

I’m presuming Karazhan and Magister’s Terrace are still popular destinations.

Dungeons, glitched areas, dead corners of zones, in party chat in whatever place. Pretty sure if people wish to have some personal entertainment, they’ll find a way.

Seeing the same two guild members in Old Hillsbrad Foothills every time you logged in.

It was Culling of Stratholme that was associated with it from what I remember – but I guess the variety of ‘known venues’ proves the point that everywhere can/will be used for x and y.
