There’s a huge influx of players from other realms farming materials on our low pop server, for the local community this is very very damaging since we don’t have things like layers or a large player base meaning that in a general rule the auction house will not always be stocked, materials will become harder to come buy making them more expensive on the auction house.
Within our small community it’s normal to farm materials for pots/elixirs/flasks yourself since the auction house cannot always provide what you need.
It’s super discouraging since the competition even on our low pop server is damaging the economy. blizzard wouldn’t care in the world because these players are willing to pay to transfer their characters to low pop servers just to farm materials.
This is frustrating to say the least, because nothing can be done about it.
There is no cross-realm, and if you were to do a paid transfer to another realm for a specific purpose there would be a 3 month wait to transfer back to your home realm.
However, it is not uncommon for bots to take advantage of smaller servers. Fewer people out in the world for a quicker levelling experience, and when they get to the higher levels they can farm the expensive herbs/ore en masse and transfer to another realm where the values are double, or in some cases triple the value. And then it is sold for real currency.
we have the same problem except our server is like super small - at max 200 active alliance players 40+ raiders, and we have each zone botted by like 3-4 people with 10 multiboxers on both factions, on the other hand in sillithus theres a literal superman flying around and picking up lotuses with flying hacks. its really getting insane as to its literally 0% chance to find anyone in some of theese zones cuz people just dont play them anymore for the reason that theres bots in there.
This once again just shows how Blizzard absolutely don’t care at all. The flying hacks been going on for a while now. After they open up for transfers it’s full with bots/multiboxers again in Strat/BRD and sometimes Sunken Temple. Same thing will happen in TBC later on. The only time they (maybe) will listen is when a large number unsubscribe.
You do not understand. They are making new lvl 10 characters and transfer them with 100s of black lotuses that they farmed on empty servers. It’s destroying the economy on whole new level.
