After the release of patch 8.1 a few addons have ceased to work, but most importantly and one that has a huge impact of rp servers is the addon crossrp. This addon revolutionised rp for many people on the realm. It enabled new communities to be built and flourish, as well as people who remained on Horde to still rp with their friends who migrated to the Alliance (due to the lore direction Horde had been taken) under a neutral stance.
