Updoot this, bumperino!
beam delay is not a bug. working as intended in classic, whole game is housewife difficulty, i just lost hope naxx will be challenging at all. GJ indie company
It looks like they used Patch 1.11 Beam Mechanic on Classic:
Pretty late, Cthun like this is easier than Twin Emps.

thats what you get when you not let people test aq40… how tf they didnt reconized that cthun isnt doing the eyebeam at pull… its one of the best thing in classic and youtubevideos
how many more raids have to be released for you to realise these kind of “bugs” are not bugs, they made it intentionally. content is easy. and let me save you valuable time and money: naxx will be the same, tbc will be 2.4.3 from release.
+1 to the beam buff.
I want to get melted, not tickled by the Beam.
It should work like in original vanilla of course, but are people really going to die to it these days? With all the extra hp and having seen youtube guides for 15 years? Doubt it.
Then again some people do suck donkey balls.
The big disappointment in watching cloth not getting absolutely obliterated by Satura-adds additional to C’thun gives me a tear in my eye. Not letting people in on the PTR for AQ40 to avoid embarrassment there only backfired hard. Such a letdown.
Shouldn’t take a month long PTR test. All they needed was 1 person running in on C’thun to see something is wrong.
Sadly this seems to be intended behavior. Apparently there was a stealth nerf late 2006 (2 months before TBC, 1 month before TBC pre-patch) that is not documented anywhere. Here two videos that show the exact same 10 second delay from late 2006:
I do not know why that nerf does not exist in retail anymore, but it did exist at the end of vanilla.
It would still be great if they could give us a C’thun without that stealth nerf though.
lol, you’re expecting blizzard to still have a QA department, but sadly they probably fired them all in favor of letting devs do more hours of unpaid overtime for them to do QA themselves and/or letting the players do bad QA for free in open betas in which they’re doing more advertising than QA.
both of your videos are posted in 2011 or 2017, these could come from scuffed private servers for all we know dude.
Check your sources plz.
Please fix this!
The first video is by The General Public, which is a guild that existed since 2006 on Laughing Skull (US). The video description tells you the exact date of the C’thun kill and the guild still exists to this date.
I mean, sure, that video could’ve been faked in 2011 exactly for this moment, but at that point you might as well take the tinfoil hat off, dear Serpico. Personally, I find it more believable that it WAS actually a ninja-hotfix back then (some people confirmed this on reddit already) than thinking blizzard didn’t notice this bug during their testing of AQ40 and that the bug happens to have the exact same 10 second timer during which C’thun does nothing for every single guild that killed him so far. If you check their logs, C’thun starts casting in the exact same second (down to milliseconds) for each of them. This is NOT a bug.
Can’t say anything about the second video as it is in German.
BUT WE HAVE THE REFERENCE CLIENT
show us.
loads of private servers have had to go through scuffed fake’d videos claiming all sorts of things, it’s why the standards for evidence are bit higher than you might be used to. a member of APES however has posted multiple videos showing that this is probably a bug, so please check your sources. It’s also highly possible the only reason those 2 videos are so delayed is because of lagspikes that are delaying the in-combat tick for a very long time, if you can see the videos posted earlier you can see that those members enter combat almost immediately following the first beam whereas your videos show they only enter combat well after they’ve travelled into the room with a weird stutter that happens when they do enter combat.
