WoW used to be a much more simple game. (Vanilla mages in raids for example)
Until they decided to keep raising the (PvE) skill ceiling to the point that there are now rotation suggestion addons for helping those who are left behind to manage.
Rotation addons are awful and will lower your DPS unless youâre really bad at performing your rotation.
People who manage mainly one class/spec will not need them.
the more classes are involved the more likely one will find use for them at least to a point. (<= altaholic)
The ability priorities these days look to me more like what I would expect to see in the decision arguments of a simple program than something a human should have to learn to follow.
Even when not using a rotation addon, I bet most people still feel the need for a weakaura that helps them keep track of the gazilion abilities. resources and cooldowns
Mages make up 15% of DPS above 2K rating, thatâs an insane number in a game that has what 13 classes?
They make up 12% of the dps specs and have 15% representation above 2k. Thats hardly an outlier.

Irrelevant how many specs they have, whatâs relevant is how many people play Mage. Every class can DPS.

When a class thatâs played by like 6% of the population represents 15% of DPS above 2K itâs time to ring the alarm bells.
Itâs a larger problem with community today, outside of wow as well, in general.
Sometimes I wonder if it is the players who took the fun out of the game or the developers.

The fact external services are needed at all to make groups/raids/ w.e really does show how bad it is in the game.
Last night for example I had a group, I said hello, hi got no reply⌠Why did you thank that is? Are people soo mentally scared that even replying in a chat is bad? I get some might just not want to but saying hi back is hardly extreme. Itâs just polite.
Iâve recently started to use.one of these services, just to give it ago, so far Iâm less then impressed there not as active for my play times which is late in the evening passed 22 hours server time

Discord groups are not services. They are communities and you are a full member.
Of course itâs a services with a community. Some one is managing that, donât be that person
