Current state makes me want to quit.... again

Whatever. You are the one going to choose for having fun and positive experiences in the game, or not. That is all up to you. Do with the advice what you want.

Nobody is claiming everything blizz does is perfect or that the game is perfect.

Toxic positivity?

Shoo, youā€™d crap on anything you canā€™t help yourself. Someone could cure cancer and solve world peace at the same time and youā€™d find a way to be a douche about it.

Yes, toxic enough to care, quote and mock my answers in this thread just because they are different opinions. :joy:

Toxic positivity really doesnā€™t allow different opinions on forums, right. And calling out peopleā€™s name?

It isnā€™t toxic to think in solutions. Everyone understands pugging in game is the most difficult and annoying thing to do over any other option to group up. We are agreeing on ā€˜the problemā€™. That is why we are here on the forums to help and advice each other.

And it obviously can also be you are wrong. In this case you called the successfull communities a failure. I meanā€¦ It more sounds like toxic negativity to me.

Be more positive and think in solutions.

Tuning is an absolute mess and at the same time there are a lot of players that know nothing about boss abilities. I almost failed to time a Stonevault +2 because they dont know or play the mechanics while everything delaing a ton of damage on top. I heal and I wonder how dps cant even manage to play 1-2 mechanics properly.

M+ instantly gives me bad mood no matter what. Its garbage content and now shows even more that there are better alternatives. Not a fan of raiding but I cleared 7/8 HC and it was actual fun, well tuned. Tries take a few minutes, maybe replace the ones that cant play properly and improve. M+ on the otherhand is a complete trainwreck disaster and I hope it gradually dies out and gets replaced with more solo content in the long term. Timed garbage content.

You are right.

I didnā€™t call the communities are failures. I called the game itself is a failure, because players need to rely on 3rd party app instead of in-game method to find communities.

I agree. I think thereā€™s a fundamental difference between curation and platforming, and the law is doing a hideous job delineating between them.

A platform is infrastructure designed for user expression. The author is accountable, but the hoster or infrastructure builder is not.
A curated or moderated product offering is not designed for free user expression. The author is not accountable except to the site that hosts their content. The site authors take full accountability and can add/remove or prevent additions as they see fit.

To illustrate:

  • Windows: Platform
  • PlayStation: Curated
  • Grocery store: Curated
  • Electricity company: Platform
  • YouTube: Platform
  • Discord: Platform
  • Battle.net: Curated

I will hold PlayStation accountable for releasing a game with a virus in it, but I will not hold Microsoft accountable for someone using the Win32 API to create an app with a virus in it. In that case I will only hold the authors themselves accountable.

Unless the app got notarized or put on the Microsoft store, of course, because it is curatedā€¦

And so more to the point, I will not hold Discord accountable for private Discords with CP, though I demand they work with police to remove it, and always remove things only with reference to law, but I will hold Netflix accountable for hosting CP movies, which they do.

Yeah, most of those communities started as a wow-community ingame. It is unfortunate by the success of the communities they runned into the limit of 1000 members. And maintaining only active members is a pain in the but unfortunately. So they had to move over to discord.

But i am pretty sure some of those communities still are active ingame. Like i said; no pressure even now has a guild.

I am very positive about some features of the new expansion:

  • warband (accountwide achievement, currency, transmog appearance, etc.),
  • removing restrictions in collecting transmog appearance in old raid runs, etc.

But there is nothing to be positive about M+. As an endgame PvE format for 5 consecutive expansions, it is simply old and dying. It was built on a specific time framed basis that can be easily affected by human behavior.

Look at the increasingly complaining thread about M+ on the forum. It is not surprising at all. Unfun activities will be abandoned by players overtime. It wonā€™t be dead any time soon. It will remain live for the passionate community, which is the tiny minority of wow playerbase.

Every content in wow is for a minority anyway. No majority is raiding, or pvpā€™ing either. Or playing pet battles.

I am not agreeing with blizz making every expansion M+ harder and harder. There were videos of Growl saying how hard SL dungeons were in comparison to BFA dungeons. And he reflected on it now we have TWW dungeons which are again way harder. SL dungeons are a joke in comparison.

To me that is the reason why we could have affixes on top of the relative easy dungeons. And now we canā€™t since every mob has multiple mechanics.

Like everything else in the game, they seem to be hard on release and slowly get nerfed throughout the season.

I donā€™t know why Blizzard does this, but they do.

So every time that happens, youā€™ll get articles like ā€œoh wow these new dungeons are so much harder than the old onesā€, but nobody makes the article saying ā€œactually it got nerfed to the same as the old onesā€ even if thatā€™s the case.

If this is the case, at what tier did you use your keys?

Anything below tier 7 is a waste, really. You can just gear up with regular delve loot/world quests/world boss/weekly and event chests and the renown buyable stuff before you can manage that.

I disagree. Itā€™s already so fast; not requiring keys would make it completely insane.

Well if u canā€™t even get past a +4 maybe just stick to LFR, story mode, devles on the side and u know pet battles :stuck_out_tongue: + If u really canā€™t find a guild or community/friends to play m+ with maybe itā€™s on you :stuck_out_tongue:

Whut?
Iā€™m sure thereā€™s a small number of movies which in a few select countries would be deemed ā€˜illegalā€™, but overalā€¦?

The game is in one of the best states itā€™s ever been in!

A lot of this sounds like a you problem

Edit: you also shouldnā€™t do mythic at 567ilvlā€¦

I think the general problem with M+ is people still see it through the eyes of the old systemā€¦ People see a +3 and think ā€œppfftā€¦ well last season I did +10s!ā€ and they try to que up with their 580ilvl and throws around surprised Pikachu face when they get declined and calls the game deadā€¦

On the other side, we have players that go into +5ā€™s not knowing any mechanics because ā€œBro itā€™s just a +4!ā€ and then get surprised people leave when a wipe-fest happensā€¦ I get it, +4ā€™s are to a lot of people easyā€¦ But we still have people using it as ā€œlearning dungeonsā€ for the bare basic mechanicsā€¦

And againā€¦ Itā€™s whatā€¦ Week 2? as we have people starting off at +2 complaining they canā€™t get into +5ā€™s which with the old system would be +15ā€™ā€¦ Calm down

You are the part of the problem, you only want to get rating, Do lower dungeons and learn, have fun or make friends? I play healer and I have no problem progressing slowly in pure pugs though healing them sometimes is pure nightmare, yet I am fine with it because it is experience

Having pugged M+ very regularly ever since Legion, I will never understand why people make this claim because this has never been the case for me or anyone I know, and if it were such a common and wide spread issue, I would be bound to have this experience given such a long time span, yet these spooky baddies who leave at the smallest stumble in every single run are nowhere to be seen.

Even now, having farmed M+ gear in pugs, a good amount of the runs I did were not timed and people generally stick around.

I wonā€™t name the movies, but there are several. Iā€™m already skirting around what Iā€™m comfortable with. One of them caused big outrage some time ago. Try googling for it if you really want to know. You have the keywords.

Well, not much needed to do that these days.

Noooo, donā€™t think I will. Donā€™t think I want to add those kinds of searches to my algorithm.
