Honestly, while, yes you can certainly find it distasteful or inappropriate, I would not call that CP. But it’s a sensitive subject, so if you feel differently about it, I’ll respect that.
Anyway… Let’s leave it, I’d say. Too scary of a topic for a WoW forum, as far as I’m concerned.

I dont understand your logic. There are all sorts of wow resources run by third parties.
I’m currently sitting at just over 2100 rating, pugged my way there and it was relatively easy.
they will never fix it because “i should be entitled to leave if the group isnt up to my standard” no matter how ridiculous that standard is

But it has consequences. The consequences being that if you dont participate in the guild community (100% via discord) talk to people there, introduce yourself, make friends…
Of course you will NOT find a guild.
So what i am saying is this : You cant it both ways…

I personally don’t boycott anything. Because i value integrity more than anything else… Basically i don’t want to be a hypocrite. If im against something, i am fully against it, and i wont cherry pick somethings to prove some “morality” just to make me feel better.
In this case, literally ALL internet is used by criminals and perverts. Even WhasUp… and if you use other alternatives with even more encryption and privacy… more criminals and perverts…
If I had to stop using products for that reason, then i might as well move to a cabin and be an off the grid hermit…

and no they are not doing anything to prevent servers facilitating CP or minors selling S3xual content or services. its a huge controvercy . just do a quick search. the way discord has outright refused to do anything is deisgusting to say the least
this is a good point, as an example. i know as a paladin that i HAVE to reserve my ONLY source of AOE CC/interupt (blinding light) for the ascension mechanic. so instead of using my abilities wisely to control and disrupt trash pulls, i now has to save it for a mechanic i know will punish us very severely for not doing it. and i also know that 9/10 players dont even know how to deal with those orbs. and this is ontop of adds that will fear, knock up, heal, shield, and punish players in anyway possible for not using cc or disruptions. so its a situation damned it you do, damned if you dont

What I am saying is … if you are concerned for minors, there are more productive things to do. Like voting for police to have a backdoor to encription. Monitor religious establishments so make sure they dont take scriptures literally… make sure to NEVER travel to the middle east and finance their tourist industries…

and i believe that is your right, but i also believe you should not go unpunished for it. TBH i think a decrease in m+ rating for the first 1-2 people leaving before timer is up, or dungeon is completed. and the more often you leave, the harsher the decrease should be.
im choosing to ignore discord because the company owning them KNOW whats going on, and refuse to take any propper measure to prevent it. and thats my issue with discord. and it is also why i no longer use facebook, because they have done litterally NOTHING to safeguard userdata, nor to prevent it being used as a means to facilitate PDFiles and CP spreading. so yea, i do take a moral standpoint when the s3xual exploitation of minors are involved.
i wish i could move to a cabin and live off grid, sadly that is more or less illegal where im from.

If someone gets caught they can just get shipped to the UK and work for the BBC, who will likely do everything they can to try cover it up.

i dont use any third party chatting tools, nor do i have any social media. and im reluctant to even own a smartphone, were it not for the fact that im obligated to have one due to my work, and its work issued so i have an extra layer of firewall and security through my jobs IT department that issued the phone. and i have my PC which i use for gaming and sometimes streaming, but even my streaming services is really limited.
or send em to hollywood, where it is both widely known, and widely accepted…
