Best to investigate what’s going on by reporting it. I know that Wago is having some issues with DBM classic versions missing, which I assume it the provider you’re using? Retail version is working fine for me
I think what is actually happening is that DBM has no ‘packages’ on git. I found a lot of addons are on git, but have no packages, which means that puling addons from git cannot be done (as far as I am aware).
However DBM was updated from Wago for me, and wow interface has the majority of DBM too.
I am unsure about the new app. On initial glance it looks similar to the old twitch one / wowup.
Personally I didnt even want to use wowup, as I loved cursebreaker, pure simple no nonsense. It is unfortunate though that the work involved in trying to get addons updating with updated stuff will take so much work and effort for me both manualloy and using cursebreaker that I have now tried wowup.
But here too I am running into issues,

Details
Angry Assignments
Decursive
XPractice
Farmhud
Lib:GetFrame
Mythic Dungeon Tools
Omen 3
RC Loot Council
and a couple of others all do not seem to update from any place other than Curse.
Do I abandon all these addons, get the stand alone app, do a hybrid approach. Who knows.
Looks like my time has come as well.
WoWup doesn’t support 3 of my important classic addons, neither can I find the two I wanted to download there. (GearQuipper and WhatsTraining). 
I’m going to keep maining WoWup, despite 95% of my addons are now ignored and wont be updated. My hope is that the devs of the most fundamental addons also makes their addons available on third party providers so we can still use them before they get broken in future game updates.
Exactly like blizzard then they could do everything you ask and still be in the wrong

It’s illegal in the EU to not honor it, so if you know something then don’t forget to report 'em to data authorities.

installed minion and downloaded the updated dbm addons from there instead
it doesnt have the same issue as wowup even with downloading from wowinterface
what “provider” doesnt match and dbm core has dependency missing?errors
I tried minion and found I was still getting lots of lua errors due to out of date addons.
New standalone app works well, very fast startup and updates.

to me wowup every DBM and details shows red/yellow arrows

oh ye and same addons i DL from wowinterface suddenly there is a issue with wowup
doublechecked where i DL those from so why these stupid errors
manually dl from curse and from wowinterface either did not work
only minion i can search dbm and download/install all with no issues
