Customization bias

Yeah, it would’ve been great if we had that alternative. :slightly_smiling_face:

Dwarves have way more customization options than belves and velves. If you still think, that the elven ones are better, then maybe play an elf, since you seem to like them more

Elves all over the shop … youll be one of them, sooner or later …

I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, truth be told.

Already in the first few comments you can understand what it is about. For example dark irons have literally few hairstyles, skin colors etc while for example belves have 5 times more and are actually the ones with the most customization options, but they think they have little and always need more. They are also the most numerous and the loudest, so blizz has to somehow please them, and I have nothing against that. But blizz shouldn’t forget that this isn’t just a world of elves and that there are tons of players here who play and love other races, and they really should finally do something for other races as well.

This is one of the things I wonder why it isn’t in the game yet. Orc dhs already exist so any counter argument falls flat. It is also known that orcs do not shy away from any kind of power. The draenei would also ofc accept any power that would serve them to fight against their greatest enemy, maybe not all but certainly some individuals. Some say that draenei would look funny as dhs, but actually such comments are funny, because those people obviously didn’t notice that the demon form/meta looks almost exactly like draenei ie it uses the same skeleton all together with hooves. If anyone should be a demon hunter, it’s orcs and draenei. They dealt with the legion more than all the other races combined. Ofc the elves inherited it since Illidan found a way to take and somewhat control that power, and it’s all cool and logical, but it’s really about time this class finally got the orcs and draenei.

I also wonder why trolls still don’t have a forest troll customization option. And ofc there are many other things that should have been in the game a long time ago.

Dark Iron barely has any and we are forced to have all of our hair options (including facial) come with a magical ember effect: Something mind you, that was never shown on Dark Irons prior to their implementation as playable characters.
All of you people playing blood elf and complain about lack of customization genuinely come across as an army of karens to me. Blizz went out of their way to implement high elves for velves outside of any scheduled updates for the race. You got lore-implied eye customization in WoD, again in Shadowlands and twice at that. If you think having the option between septum or some other ornamental features add much to the value of a race’s customization, that’s fine - I’m more for substance though. I cannot stand blood elves. My favorite class is also locked behind blood elves or the alternative of playing alliance.

I’m very happy that wildhammer customization was provided for dwarves in shadowlands as well as tribal tattoos/body paint for orcs and tauren, but I’m not gonna back off my initial point that elves seem to randomly get customization with actual lore behind it for no apparent reason other than yet again satisfying the incessant population of elves.

to me: this is what they should do in a 0.5 patch:
Add customisations to these races who didn’t have any since SL lauched:
-void elves
-dark iron
-mag’har
-kul tirans
-Zandalari trolls
-Mechagnomes
-vulperas
now: what these races would need in my opinions?
void elves: to me, they need to add these options (if it shows them :/)

add void tatoos too, they would be cool, and maybe like nightborne a void-ish glowy effect on the hands.

dark irons: i think they need something like more beard options and tatoos. i would love a hairstyle that is called “volcano” and in the middle of the hair it’s burning.
another thing for them would be iron jewelry, maybe a iron bandana or rings on they’r arms. smth more would be fire-ish hands too for casters like fire mages or destro warlock with fire on, those would be cool.
mag’har: make the tatoos not be tyed to the skin color, and make them paintable with colors like orchs, add more scars and some jewelry that is tyes to each clan.
kul tirans: first of all i think what would be cool is more face options and beards + hair, they have little customisations there.
add some sea jewelry too, like the anchor or a neckleace that is a broken compass.
Zandalari: Loa themed jewelry, that is what they need more, eye options to have them glow like the heritage helm, moore tatoos, golden jewelry… y’know, rich stuff.
mechagnomes: add more options to modify arms/legs, ideas for this are:
more reinforced arms and legs.
add more upgrades like only a metallic jaw that covers the neck too. And please, make it possible to paint the heritage armour…
vulperas: now, i don’t hate them, but they’r not my cup of tea and idk what to add to them

That’s really rude firstly, and 2ndly: I’m not sure, if you are allergic to combinatorics, but Blood elf male have a very small fraction of the possible combinations of orcs for example. “Ohh you got different eye colours” Yes, and so do all others. “Yours look cooler” Then play a belf instead of complaining about the little cool things we have, and trying to put others down.
Belves exist since tbc, and dark iron dwarves exist since bfa. Belf hair styles are the same as in TBC mostly, and most of them look really out of place on the character model. Same with humans. They should really do something similar, they did to night elves, to all others aswell, but first should be the core of warcraft, and not allied bfa races, that got added in 2020. Our faces also have barely changed since TBC, and only 2 of them look acceptable.
The same with undead: Most of the undead customizations are completely trash graphically, and the new ones are way too punk inspired. I also wouldn’t mind, if they reused the assets of Dracthyr

Demonhunters largely consider themselfs unstable monsters. They consider what they do to themself a great sacrifice to protect others. They most definetly are not going out handing flyers to strangers “become a demonhunter today and turn your live into an eternal zealous hunt of missery and suffering.”

That is incorrect. While Draenei means the exiled ones or refugees yes, Eredar is NOT the term for those that joined Kil’jaeden. Eredar was the initiall Name of their Race. The ones that joined Kil’jaeden are the “Man’ari” the redskinned Eredars who are corrupted by fell. The Draenei just no longer refer to themself as Eredar.

Besides that has nothing to do with 20 year old lore stuff since the draenei came into the game in TBC, mutch of their lore came in Legion at the same time with demonhunters which has only been about 6 years ago.
