I understand that anchor weed is intended to be a rare herb but I have reached a point where I have no motivation to gather herbs because I know I won’t find any. I have ship loads of the other herbs but no anchor weed which are necessary for creating flasks which sell for the most money on the ah.
The other night, I spent an hour-two hours trying to find anchor weed specifically and found two plants (iirc). I was following the wowhead guides which are supposed to show where the plants spawn the most and they were barely spawning there. This was at roughly two in the morning, whenever I try and find it during the day I will usually find no anchor weed.
As I hate to say it it just bad luck on your part. I have had better luck farming at more contestant location (nazmir), since Anhcor Weed has a chance to spawn on the existing herb node. More herbs picked - more potential Anhcor weed spawns.
But this runs a chance that location is so full of herb farmers that you’ll end up running in empty circles.
It is just bad design to require 5 herbs per flask to craft, and make that herb random spawn (vs legion 7 per flask but with hard location spawn).
Well Anchors spawn as a replaced herb(except star moss and siren’s sting), so it’s way easier to find anchor weeds circulating certain areas with a huge amount of ground herbs.
Like the southern part of Vol’dun if you also need Akundas.
For riverbuds use the rivers in Tirisgarde sound.
Winter’s kiss, just circulate the Snowy areas around Arom’s stand.
Sea stalks, I usually gather these togheter with river buds in Tirisgarde.
I whould Argue that Paju above here makes no sense, use a route which is heavy populated and try to follow eachother around. It increases the chances tof ind anchors significantly.
But yes I whould rather see the Anchor weed function as a weed aka. by product of picking up other herbs(or a combo of current).
What I meant on my previous post that more often than not I have to compete with other farmers (in Nazmir mostly) who use the same farm route. Since herbs last about a minute after being picked, so sometimes I do end up kinda running after some other player just to not see any herbs or when clicked they despawn and I get the loot error.
