Daily world quests

So looks like I have to log in everyday to do world quest again to keep up with rep. So boring. Another broken promise by blizz. Top it off with this being the most boring patch and zone ever.

This is now just a game for casuals and children. They pander so much.

They just speed running this to the grave for money, and to hell with the OG fans who ACTUALLY liked the game. And before people come at me with " I dont like playing with other people so i play the game by doing WQ", then go play an actually good single player game. Wow is an MMO and should be played with others.

The fact the game feels souless and lost is because its this trwisted amalgamation that doesnt know what it is, and as such does everything poorly.

And its pandering to people who dont want to play an MMO that does this.

Depends how desperate you are to get to max level I suppose.
I plan on just doing the big weeklies, killing the world boss and doing any WQs that I fancy the rewards from and…
you know, having a life instead.

First paragraph contradicts the rest…

This is not true, WQs reset beweekly. And Renown you get with it is so small comparing to big weekly quests. Also I don’t realy get the concept of “keep up”. There is no competetion point in Renown, it doesn’t matter if you get mounts and tmogs 2 weeks later than others. Faction is not going anywhere, it will stay in the game even after next expansion release, so there is no FOMO. The only thing, which at least somehow related to progression, is infinite rune, but it’s not a big difference in the end, just saving some gold. One can just buy one-time runes from AH/farm it in Call to Arms as before until you get level 18 eventually.

If you show me a gool solo game in Wacraft universe with the same actual plot/lore, I will unistall WoW today.

Like it or not, but this is a big paying part of audience, so I would be happy if those people will have more content for them. For a long time I’ve played WoW just like that, for story, fantasy and collecting, and this is actually a good and relaxing way of playing it.

Are they worth doing (rep wise)?
I did the Base Control one the other day which is a blue WQ and it gave me 50 rep.
Do the other WQ give more?

I think I got ~150 from one once and a seed.

I mean yeah this part is pretty spot on.

It does one thing rly well though and that is print money.

They designed it so the rep grind is now optional content. :slightly_smiling_face: You don’t HAVE to grind rep.

You might have missed Blizzcon (I’m guessing since you made this topic), but they are actually planning on making everything (including rep) more accessible.

I couldn’t disagree more. A “social MMO” doesn’t need to FORCE you into playing with other players, for all its content. Players nowadays have evolved to playing social games, as an alternative to being social IRL, compared to back in the early 2000s… just like how people are on FB today, and living a more “online persona”.

And what you are describing, is an old fashioned game that you only play when you wanna do hardcore interactions with others… And not a “social space” to hang around with other players. Which btw, BOTH are the definition of an MMO. :slightly_smiling_face:

Blizz WOULD run WoW into the ground, if they forced more player interactions. because that’s not what the modern WoW player wants.

YOU might like hardcore and intense player interactions whenever you log in… But I promise you that majority doesn’t wanna do that 24/7 :slightly_smiling_face:

The only correct way forward is adding more solo content, where playing with others is only mandatory, in order to earn the BEST rewards. :point_left:

And btw, Classic is a great experience in order to get that “OG boomer online experience”, if you want what you have described in your post.

There not exactly daily. The Emerald Dream quests are the same as the Caverns system. Each day two new world quests are available but they have 3 days before they expire. So you do not need to do them daily. You can do them every 3 days and do 6 at once.

You really don’t need to log in every day to do them. I only do them on Wednesday after reset, then on Saturday afternoon after soft reset. Since they all have 3-7 days before they expire that’s sufficent enough to do them all without missing out.

Couldn’t you do them every other day?

Once every three days is enough, that seems to be the “expiration date” of WQs (Not as if missing one or two of them is a major unrecoverable setback, anyway), but let’s not ruin their complaint flow with something so trifling as facts…

Reading your posts actually made me feel sick and cringe. Its an MMO. You should have to play with others 80%. Its such a shame that people who are incapable of social interactions have eventually whined there way into everything and demanded everything needs to be easy and solo. Its destroyed the soul of the game. There is no challenge in whelp day care or whatever it is, no challenge in following a tree around a zone, or flyinng through bugs.

Call me a boomer all you want but classic is a brilliant version of the game. There are some quests you just cant do without having to ask for help and make group. Nothing is given for free and everything feels earned.

Also hardcore and intense? You think speaking to someone in a raid or a mythic plus is hardcore and intense? You lot need help

Saturdays reset WQ, but only 2 in Emerald Dream?

It seems that every day, 2 Emerald dream WQs reset, instead of all WQs resetting twice a week, it amounts to about the same number of WQs per week, but feels a bit less bad for people who log in more than twice a week, it’s still rather meagre for a zone that we’re expected to spend half a year in, though.

Why people think the actual quests themselves are worth doing (as in fun), rather than the rewards themselves is beyond me. Its annoying I feel like I have to do them, it wouldnt be so bad if they are fun, but the world quest andys think that flying through bugs and filling bars is top tier content so I guess everyone else has to suffer.

Have to? No.

Wasn’t a promise. And daily content is a GOOD thing as far as I’m concerned.
The twice per week cadence is horrible and definitely one of the things that’s holding DF back imo.

Then don’t do them. You don’t have to. Period.

Gosh dang… who stepped on your breakfast this morning… I think the toxicity speaks for itself. You can throw as many tantrums as you want, but it’s still not gonna change the facts.

I recommend taking a step outside your own little bubble, and get a reality check on what an MMO is in 2023. But based on your reply, being self-reflecting is probably too tall an order for you… All you know how to do, is being an angry internet troll.

Maybe just stick with Classic, since that is clearly “the best MMO ever” in your mind. :man_shrugging:

With that said, no point in arguing with someone who clearly can’t handle people who disagree with their viewpoint, and only know how to reply using childish toxicity. You should try a normal discussion… you might find that it gives better results.

If this is how you communicate online, no wonder why you need Blizz to “force” players into being social and play with you. :joy: Explains why you are so threatened by “solo content”.

Peace out :v:

wow really lacks the form of dailies we were getting since tbc up to pandaria, especially the ones like argent dawn or progressive dailies that updated story/ zone around them (e.g daily zone in molten front- rep was building up so was environment changing there) or in pandaria that these dailes were unlocking new major quest chains/ special currency for mounts cosmetics and even gear - both casuals and advanced players would have use of it

Maybe not everyone like timegating, but its better to have this form than no content at all. It was good thing to log in daily and have something to do. renown and spamming wqs is just not the same, and is not nearly as meaningful.

If we had dailies and side reputation for it ( not renown) and it would upgrade the current tree in emerald dream, it would just feel better and people would have reason to actually go there

This zone desperatly need more stuff to do daily and not less

If only there were a “classic” version of the game you could rather play instead if this bothers you so much.

oh wait…

Times change. People change. You can choose to deal with it, get over it or moan on the internet about it.
