Dalaran Defender items

So I bought a selection of these pre-patch items last night. Today (this evening) when I log back on the toon on where they were bought, they are all soulbound!? WTF?!??? I wasn’t allowed to put them in the Warband bank due to the refund still being an option.

I object to that. It’s something that has not been communicated, and seriously makes no sense in the whole Warband system.

I would have sorted this differently had I known this was even a possibility - that all of a sudden I can find that Warband items just bind.

All warbound items (gear) acquired during echo event were stored in warband bank. A few mins ago they suddenly became greyed (inactive) and non-movable. After relog, because I hoped that it may fix this problem, all previously warbound gear items disappeared. All is lost!
I hope that devs will be able to restore them from server logs, of course after fixing this awful bug.

The ones I had in the Warbank bank seem ok. I’ve not dared take them out though to check in case they’ll turn soulbound on the wrong toon.

I’ve spent hours collecting all the currency to buy these for my many, many alts. Now more than 200k worth of items are useless. And I don’t even need the gold. (If I needed gold, I’d be picking flowers and mine in TWW all these hours!)

Same as the others. About 30 minutes before launch of the expansion I noticed that the items you bought from the vendor were no longer bound to warband - same with all other that had been dropped.
Checking up on the warband they were all inactive, and after changing to a different character to see if I could move them out … well, they were all gone.

While it would be possible to - eventually - craft gear for the characters that might need it I do hope blizzard change this move, and restore items to people since I have not seen any mention of this change anywhere.
Alternatively give people a compensation of an equal amount of residual memories (to what was lost) so they can repurchase the items on any character that has the need.

Same here. All my Defender gear is gone from Warbank. Happy days.

I had a lot of Dalaran Defender pre-patch gear in my warbank to give to my alts or to sell to the vendor when not needed.
Why did all that gear disapear out of my warbank? I worked hard for it.
Give at least the vendor prize for it but don’t steal stuff out of my warbank that I payed with pre-patch currency.

What a time to be a World of Warcraft fan. Reputations resetting to neutral, guild items disappearing, warbank eating gold if you try to take it from a character on trial account, warbank items disappearing, now Defender gear in warbank. Honor levels resetting randomly. Data Loss is becoming a normal thing.

Same here. All my warbound Dalaran gear from the Echos event is suddenly soulbound to my lvl 28 alt that stored them. Meanwhile the gear my brother stored in his warband bank is simply gone. Great.

Just want to add to this, same here. Put a lot of effort in to farm the gear for alts and had it sorted in the warband bank. Switched to the characters to pull the gear from the bank, not there. Checked all characters, not a ui glitch, the stuff is just gone. Items in my backpack that were to be put in the bank, are now soulbound not warbound until equipped. It seemed to happen about an hour before TWW launch time, it seemed all fine up until then.

I am hoping that they can restore the items or at least reimburse the residual memories currency to one of the characters for the total of the items lost so they can transfer the currency around to rebuy the items.

It’s not just items that were in my Warbound Bank either. Id items in my characters personal bank for different specs and they have disapeared too. Anything not actually equiped disapeared no matter were else it was stored. Only items to survive are the Bags I bought.

Same thing here, lost 25 480ilvl items that I intended to gear up my alts with. The items just disappeared from the warband bank! I was able to see them on my mage 10 minutes or so before TWW launch, but could not withdraw - the system said “you cannot keep personal items in the warbank”. Items fully disappeared after reload. Went to the vendor in Dala - and yes, all the items on 480 gear vendor are BoP now. What a mess. Hope they will be able to sort it out and we will get our gear back. Made a ticket to support, too.

All my warbound items in a bank are lost.
And what is even worse, I can’t transfer Residual Memories to my alt to buy new gear, because the alt has 0 currency.

This is beyond stupid. This is ridiculous.

Currency reimbursement will not work, if your toon does not have that currency, currency transfer interface will not let you trade from your main.

They will have to restore the items warbound status - it seems to be the only way. Hopefully, once they do that, the gear will appear in the warband bank right away. I lost dozens of items, not fun at all!

Why was it not communicated by Blizzard that we would loose all Dalaran Defender gear from our warbanks upon TWW launch??

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/000364025 They are aware of the bug at least now. Hopefully they can fix it.

After looking again I found the items still warbound in the warband bank were only the primalist and dreambound items. So yeah. Warband bank doesn’t appear to be a safe place after all…

Got bankrobbed twice today. My guildbank is almost empty en my warbank prepatch tab is empty. What a way to start a new expansion. :frowning:

I have two wow accounts. My other account is not affected. All Dalaran Defender gear is still present and warbound.

Habrasay, good chance the reason the second account is ok, as it wasn’t used around the time of the lunch / rifts ended. A friend of mine logged in an hour afterwards and all his stuff looks to be fine.

Same, this is getting bigger and bigger, and so many ppl saying they lost items in the AH as well so this is really going nowhere…
