Damn, i forgot how little a Druid could do in animal form in Vanilla

Really annoying…

I mean, some things make sense, like not being able to speak to NPCs, I mean, I am sure they dont speak Bear or Cat and if a giant cat approached me and goes “meow mewomewo meoooww meowow meow…” I would also just be confused… still, its really annoying to have to swap out every time.

I cant take potions, guess that a big reason why people prefered warrior tanks back in the days, not being able to pot in a boss fight really hurts your tank power… Ah well, thats a luxury problem…

But I CANT EAT? What, do Cats and bears dont eat in Azeroth?

Still love the druid, most fun class ever in my eyes^^

BTW, does someone have a macro I can use to switch from animal form A to animal form B with one button?

/cancelform
/use major healing potion
/cast dire bear form

Edit to suit your needs. Why would you want to eat? Just pop out of form and cast some heals and when you run out of mana, drink.

From an RPG perspective the food and water is suited for humanoid races. How do you expect a 500 kg bear to eat a sandwich or drink a glass of milk?

Thats not realy a reason, its class design and itemization.

But still, can u imagine a dire bear, mauling his target, avoiding some hits here and there, taking some, growling on enemies, and meanwhile drink from a flask? Thats just… Retail

Also don’t forget that all you get from weapons are the stats. Weapon damage, speed and proccs are useless.

We had a druid Tank in our guild way back when, usually offtank.
He used a similar Macro, but then got oneshot in that brief moment in Humanoid form. It’s rare but it can happen if you’re really unlucky.

The simpler answer is that your equipment is merged into your form. Hard to eat or drink a potion if that potion or food is magically a part of your body.
