I have now spoken to 4 seperate people through customer service, 3/4 have told me to:
- Make sure i use cabled connection (cheers bro been doing that for 20 years)?
- Have you tried restarting your router?
- I dont see any issue on our end, connection to your router seems fine
- Maybe upgrading your internet speed might help (im already on 1gb Up/Down) :)))))
Conclusion is basically that they dont care, and they dont want to acknowledge the issue either. Only way this ever gets fixed is if someone with a lot of followers on social media posts about it, or if someone knows someone at Norlys.
It is 100% a Norlys issue, as other providers do not have connection problems with Battle.net services. It’s impossible to raid or do M+, and its not going to change.
I doubt it’ll change anything, but I’ve contacted their technical support last week, including all logs i could produce that was relevant as well as linking to this topic.
Additionally I’ve also contacted Blizzard support and made them aware of the issue, after a few useless responses where they clearly didn’t bother reading my ticket, they finally just closed the ticket when I asked them to contact Norlys directly.
So far I’ve only received a boilerplate “we’re busy” from Norlys, but I’ve mentally given them until the end of the month, if they can’t acknowledge it by then, I’m changing providers.
i have now found a FIX!
we need to use a VPN to bypass unstable crap servers
Exitlag offers low MS and is specifically made for games and support wow

exitlag (DOT) com/aff.php?aff=10112220
tested on multiple machines for over a week with 0 DCs and no lag
Why do you believe it’s ISP problem, if it’s happening for multiple ppl with diverse ISP from other countries. This is Blizzard’s problems. Some1 even told yesterday there’s a problem with Amsterdam switch.
Well this sure is an eye-opener - I thought I was going crazy with all the random lag spikes. Surprise surprise, my provider is also Norlys.
I give up - guess I have to swap provider. The lag has been immense today…
Same here. It was fine the last days so I was so naive I thought it was fixed. But tonight I get severe lag like every 10-15 minutes.

Dane here, happens quite often, and started happening about 4-6 month ago.
We are 3 premades from different locations in Denmark all having this issue, and a post suggest people from Poland might have a simmilar issue.
It’s major packet loss to the servers, but my own connection doesn’t show any issues when it happens so i wonder if it’s how the internet is handle between Denmark and Blizz or just a blizzard issue.
I bricked 3 keys today cause of these lag spikes, feelsbadman
I play with 2 premades in mythic plus. 2 of us with Norlys in the same city and one with a different ISP also in the same city in Denmark.
The 2 of us with Norlys are having severe lags at the exact same time and they end at the same time. Our last premade are unaffected by these lags. Usually happens 2-3 times when we play in the evenings. Today it was really bad from 21:45 to 22:15 approximately. We never seem to have lags on discord when it happens in WoW and we do not have this issue in other games
can confirm, 2 more with Norlys basically unable to play from around 21:45-22:15.
I called Norlys today and they are very much aware of this issue. The tech supporter from Norlys explained that Blizzard are not interested in working with Norlys to resolve the issue. So yeah, new ISP or play another game I guess.

Pinging get’s no one closer to a solution.
And threats about switching to another ISP won’t do much (depending on where in the country), seeing as Norlys own a large part of the fiber and let other “providers” rent.
If you try a traceroute, you’ll see that it’s after you get through Blizzards server / gateway and it’s on their side, has nothing to do with Norlys, other than the routing Blizzard has assigned their customers.
For now we have to live with it or use a VPN until they resolve the issue.
I sent 3 traceroutes, 2 where it’s having issues and 1 where it runs fine, awaiting a reply.
As Iveso said, they’re aware of it and Blizzard is showing unwillingness to resolve this issue, so should probably redirect the pitchforks towards the right company.
Yeah switching ISP dont necessarily help like Qpid said - guys its VPN time until blizzard/norlys comes with a fix or you gonna have this lag forever
Yep, we are having the spikes aswell (Norlys). It means that I can’t really do m+ …I don’t wan’t to ruin other peoples keys. Might cancel my subscription because of this.
Got a reply to the first ticket, “have you tried turning it off and back on again” template… Fuming right now.
AND suggested I go onto the forums for the great community for help.
We’re a few sitting on Discord debating the same thing Lactator… It’s a joke how this company handle things nowadays.
I basically got told to get an IT expert to look at my end, call my ISP and they closed the ticket.
So yeah, there’s clearly no intention from Blizzard to get this issue resolved.
Unfortunately my subscription renewed earlier this evening, it’ll be cancelled after this experience.
I was told by Norlys to trace route and pass on the results to them.
Everything indicates it’s on blizzards end, which means Norlys will just have to contact them, which will have a totally different reaction than just us posting.
For now the issue is being looked into atleast.
The traceroutes I sent to blizzard also suggest it’s at Blizzards end, right after I get past the hop with blizzardonline.
It’s clearly a Blizzard issue.
The CS rep / AI ignored them entirely.
I just mentioned what the CS rep had said.
