Dark nights and proper weather

I hope one day the devs reconsider adding back the weather and darker nights from real vanilla. It’s such a shame the lack of snow and rain here and when it does come it is not thick at all like it was. Anyone who played back in the day or on the private servers before classic can attest to this difference. It is because they are using the modern client when they made wow classic.

Just make both features off by default and purely opt in then nobody would complain (somebody would! :stuck_out_tongue: )

I know others share this wish. Dun Morogh just isn’t the same.

Yea it’s the lighting engine used in the legion client that makes the difference (basically).

Yeah. Even if they can’t fix lighting just the weather would be great. I don’t believe it’s beyond them! They are great devs with lots of money. It would be an easy W.

Agree.

  • It’s not expensive
  • It makes a better game (especially if opt-in, nobody can complain)
  • Not doing it would be a betrayal of their promise to re-create the original game (which adds to the other numerous betrayals, but just because they did wrong elsewhere doesn’t mean they should continue)
