Keep in mind, the entire debacle inflated like a balloon based on one lvl 10 who was caught ignoring emotes and basically RPing to be untouchable, and that to me just sounds like a player that I personally would halt interactions with and ignore.
That’s just a case of someone not willing to understand the past narrative and just go with one thing and cling on to it for life.
What is interesting though is to see intiatives rise up of DR Players who are roleplayed from a better level than what has been portrayed, and not OOC shun them for “Eww DR”

yet today i saw a bunch of people in stormwind in lion’s rest fighting cuz there were 2 dark rangers walking around doing…
and one of them even sayd “what proof you have that we are not welcome in this city?”
it makes no sense, neither turalyon or tyrande sayd they would be welcome to just do that, and they were just talking and a human priest? she sayd he was “Under her watch” and was healing him whit HOLY MAGIC, WHEN HE IS UNDEAD AND HOLY LIGHT HURTS UNDEAD!

I mean, an Ebon Blade aligned “Dark Ranger” doesnt strike me as too odd, its basically an Ebon Blade member who uses a bow instead of a sword but still, even Ebon Blade dont have a great deal of business in SW, why would they be there?
Its probably that queldorei whom we detained not long ago and brought in Ebon Blade knight to deal with it and as a result, this knight took DR into this organization.
Ok, so basicaly a human whit the dark ranger used void magic against a worgen who was attacking this ranger called “Laertoreel”. reminds me of that “Livtoriel” in orgrimmar, the san’layn. and basicaly she got away whit it and the worgen was arrested…? this is nuts. isn’t void forbidden?
I heard a different story and some duo (human and dwarf) brought in a worgen, stating that she was supporting a Darkfallen.
We OOCly discussed and the player behind this worgen wanted for her doggo to be exiled from the city for a while. So we rolled with it. Thats what i know from my part if we talk about the same worgen with a rifle.
Heard nothing about a human
No one told my character. As for that elf that you just mentioned. Now i remember.
They then took a peak inside HQ’s basement. Ran out, swapped TRP and walked in, rping a sister of this Darkfallen - Quel’dorei Ranger Captain Farstrider. This Captain demanded my character to release this worgen and tried to pull in some nobility pose saying “Youll be court martialed for this”. So my Captain tried to grab her by a wrist, she just dodged. My Captain tried again, another dodge. My captain tried to bash with a shield (nope, blocked!) so my Captain tried to thrust sword through the leg at the distance of 1m, nope another dodge.
So i just did a /ignore and kept RPing with a worgen, who said they dont even know who this elf is (oocly)
the human is “Kirawinter” ooc name and ic called “kira”. as for what happent whit the elf, still not surprised. some can’t accept to be attacked and can’t let they’r characters be harmed.
i think they just think “Oh no, this shoulden’t be like that, our chars need to be saved at all costs and no one can stop it cuz we don’t want to”.
P.S: if im not wrong i saw a dark iron dwarf on the new dark iron mount there too, but idk if he did smth or not.
That’s not out of the question to be honest. Ebon Blade are more suited to taking in Darkfallen than some organizations. It’s a little strange to be using that as a “free pass”, as it were, but it’s a better reason than some.
The thread is starting to devolve a little don’t you think? I’m sure we don’t need to know every single questionable RP encounter in Stormwind to get the jist.
But guys, Some of those dark rangers hated how Sylvanas waged war, and refused to take part in it… So OBVIOUSLY they get a free pass to wander around Stormwind. They are the ones making sure Calia returns GIlneas to alliance…duh
if they are really ebon blade, then they shoulden’t be here just chilling and talking, they should at least be whit a death knight around, not whit some human priestress that uses void magic

Just saying an excuse that I heard. Thought you guys might find it fun. And reason she is loitering about is because people keep stabbing her, so hard to go about her business.

Nothing’s ever gonna be set in stone until Blizzard decides to clarify as usual, guess we’ll have to deal with it on person to person basis

I for one will not recognize a Dark Ranger in Stormwind or anywhere for that matter as a friendly entity until they prove so in RP. We don’t have nearly enough story/knowledge on the Darkfallen and their objectives after Sylvanas’ Betrayal to outright accept them.
But hey, won’t deny them any RP either \o/ If it turns out bad it turns out bad, same with the good.
