so true, cause people wont want to risk the same thing happening again of being on a dead server.
but this just creates a new problem if all people will move to 2-3 of the “known” populated servers like Draenor or Silvermoon. it is a sad but funny irony that even with people doing this, i am unaware of any real delays in the game caused by this? ie. lag/queus?
i know their AH’s have lag, but i think that is a programming issue. and world lag when it happens (like shown in classic, or AV or Southshore brawl) this is more down to the poor state of the servers i think rather than an overabundance of players.
after all, are you really trying to tell me that in 2020 they cant have more than 80 people in one place at one time? :\
but at the end of it all, blizz have the REAL player numbers, and WHERE those players are spread among. so… yeah. blizz have to be truthful for once, something they’ve not really been for years now sadly.
That is what happened to me.
I started playing in Stormreaver back in 2005, release of the game, after many years the server died on alliance side, so we moved to a new server, we didnt want to leave but there was no chance to continue raiding and staying there.
So, we choose a server that is nicelly populated, without being full, because of lag, queues etc.
We end up in here and now the server is dead, the guild ended, its basically me.
How can this be considered normal, is something i dont understand.
i fully agree, and this is why i dont get how more dont see this as an important issue or how blizz allow this happen.
tbh, you’re more deserving of a free move than me cause even though im on a dead server, TWO servers you’ve been on have died. neither of which was predictable as they were both healthy when you were on them.
blizz, not blues, please acknowledge this and be truthful with us.
HAha wel Blizz kinda screwed you over with the high transfer costs.
If you’re on a dying or dead realm better carry a big sum of cash to transfer your main and maybe 1-2 alts. Even though you don’t really need alts anymore because guess what’s also dead? PROFESSIONS!!
Sometimes I wonder whether George R. R. Martin works at Blizzard as things we loved are being killed on a brutal way and when confronted Blizz remains silent, as silent as world pvp is and if they do speak, their words are as empty as the RBG’s.
My advice go to a FULL server, use the experience buff to get to lv120 in 2-3 days, spam mythics and start raiding on a not so dead realm.
or not give blizz a penny cause they’re not entitled to it?
while lvling and gearing is almost a joke these days, some peoples toons have history. this one for example has EVERY pre 8.3 rep exalted, has most of the achieves for my account, and for bs/jc knows all but about 10 of the recipes in game (half those coming from bop swp recipes that just wont drop for me )
nah, i will quit before i give blizz a penny. they’ve just lost £50 from me not playing the last 5 months. ok its a drop in the ocean compared to what blizz make, but imagine if every player took a 5 month pause (£50). i wonder how fast blizz would address the issues.
They won’t mate, they won’t. They’ll just make another mount for people to sub 6 months again. Cause it’s cheaper to hire an intern to design a dumb mount than to actually read the forums and act like a professional entertainment company.
I used to play on Deathwing, I have around 6 (back then high level chars) there. However there’s 20 raiding guilds left on Deathwing of which 5 did some mythic progression. I transferred to Draenor on a fresh character and well here there are 100’s of raiding guilds. I do miss my Conqueror title though I farmed that title pretty hard in TBC.
It’s especially bad on alliance side since it seems like people won’t consider any realm other than Silvermoon as their target transfer.
Even populated realms like Ravencrest or Sylvanas pale in comparison.
Yep, but scroll down on general page and blue post on topics about the ‘cow level’ and even a mount collector topic that was created 4 days ago but still no response to this thread after a year.
Well the moment you ask for a blue reply is the moment you curse it and will never get one.
Tbh I always found that a rather black and white and a tad childish view on moderating. Ofcourse you don’t want to respond to everyone going ‘look at me look at me’ but here’s the thing… most of those threads with blue responses are really just that.
I could construct a thread (not just me, most people with a brain) that would lure in a blue. It’s a bit like ‘Oscar bait’, hell most of those threads that did get a blue response I predicted. A rather sad state.
I mean, there is ofcourse time and place for the silly and feel good threads (and there should be!) but when the majority of blue responses are just that and copy/paste news from the Americas… well it doesn’t look good/balanced.
I’d imagine a lot of us in Europe feel neglected by the devs. That’s not to say we don’t get listened to at all… just there isn’t much presence here.
