They did not forget about server merges, they’re currently too busy counting money from bundle-transfers.

Can’t they at least poke someone than can though? It just feels that right now they’re ignoring so many players that aren’t playing on the high pop servers.

It’s not part of the role. They can sympathise but that’s about it.

I have no idea if they intend to revisit connections or not but they really should.

Realm compression needs to happen with phasing and sharding improvements. EVERY AREA IS EMPTY. Or are people just buying 60 characters now?

It really depends on your server.
Silvermoon from Frostmane is night and day. I see so much more people constantly.

Our issue is that we also seem to be shared with … an Italian server while we’re literally an English server on Aggramar, we see more Italian than English in trade chat/general when someone actually uses it.

Sounds like Frostmane… where we are merged with a Portuguese server with guilds that were militant on POR ONLY.

Friendliest people ive ever met have been on my travels on low pop realms. But not being able to find people to raid with that aren’t through the lfg tool made me leave to a high/full pop realm. I really wish I stayed, I adored being on them the most but not being able to partake in endgame really did it for me. +1

Do what 14 does and stop players from making characters on “congested” realms.
That would help alot medium out all the other realms. Also, maybe switch up the new player realm tag? I know they did that around Legion - BFA I believe.

FROSTMANE . i was in the top 8-12 guilds on the server, it used to be highly competitive, Security, ninth order, memento mori, valkyrie,style, rebellion etc then they basically all quit or transferred. i returned in the start of Shadowlands but i reall y should not have done so and made a level 50 on horde and continued there.
i cleared denathrius heroic ahead of the curve in like… 8 days or whatever it was, i was like great lets go apply to mythic progression…
I swear to god i was literally only probably one of the 6 players ON THE WHOLE SERVER with ahead of the curve, i had to transfer two times for mythic progression in the end silver moon then to horde tarren mill.

On Silvermoon and everything is getting done on a daily basis, its so night and day.

While I’m not in that situation I really feel for you. I hope your voices are heard and Blizzard addresses the issue. I would love Megaservers added.

Don’t understand why blizz cannot even talk or do something about the serverproblems.
Like linking auctionhouses of dead servers…
its frustrating how empty the ah can be on a dead server.
but right now not a word is even worse.

Genuinely pathetic by Blizzard that it is almost three years since this thread began and nothing has been done. They’d rather watch people slowly quit the game and their dead servers just to get a few more people pay for server transfers. THe logic doesn’t make sense. They’d make more money by retaining a happy playerbase, than forcing a miserable one to transfer server whilst the rest quit the game.
