Dear Blizzard

Dear Blizzard,

So. Looks like I’ll be cancelling the subscription I’m paying for a game I cannot play…

Classic was your last shot at saving your pathetic company… I’m glad you have lost millions of subs from retail. You don’t deserve success, whoever it is making these ridiculous decisions…

So disappointing… this was ur one chance not to stuff it up…

There are plenty of no queue servers. Queues won’t go away until pop spreads. I can bet that Blizz will be the more persistent side on this one because they will make things worse than they are (when phase 1 ends) if they allow too many people/layers per servers.

Grow up please, queue happens on new releases. Stop being so melodramatic.

I get the sentiment but I still believe they are mostly doing the right thing by not flooding the place with new servers. There are many, many people who jumped in but will not stay. Once they are gone it will be fine. But it will take a bit of time.

I have got in ok mostly then put into a 3k Q which took an hour, it is what it is, it will absolutely get quieter soon.

Play on a different server geez not hard blizz said time and time again , please play on the new realms. If that’s too hard to get into your head then i give up trying to show reason.

The problem is some people took time off of work to play with 200 guild members. Not so easy just to move realms.
Queues like this come from bad planning. I’m allowed to voice my disappointment with a service I’m paying for and not getting.

Maybe if the world didn’t have people like you in it… happy to roll over and take whatever crap ur given… well maybe things like this wouldn’t be the standard

Do keep in mind your situation is not the norm. There is way more random players who dont care which server they are on and dont have friends to play with.

So you really dont have much of a choice except waiting until those random players have moved to a different realm.

Taking time off specifically for a videogame launch was never a good idea anyway and I am glad Blizzard is not catering to this.

To be fair, they knew it was going to be an issue on some realms, they said Q’s were going to be painful, so move. It’s not bad planning really.

And with your wast knowledge of online game management, how do you plan the release? Add enough servers for everyone?

But then, what do you do when people leave and you end up with dead realms, havent we seen that before?

And as others say, they encouraged people to pick different servers, so they knew it would cause problems. But people refused to move, and instead oppted to moan. Tell me again, who planned it poorly?

Yes they misjudged the interest or they somehow thought they can convince people to reserve on new servers without experiencing queues for real.

Anyway that is irrelevant now. The ball is on players side. The only way for queues to go away is to spread because Blizz won’t give up on queues and ruin their promise of 1 layer before phase 2.

There’s 14 PVP realms now, but they only opened up two realms for name reservation? You think that’s a good indicator of proper planning?

WOTLK babbies are the absolute worst

That’s their own choice? How is that Blizzard’s problem?

Yes, yours.

You could have fairly expected this.

Yep, blizz were not PREPARED for their fans to return.

Cry louder, so that everyone can hear you, they don’t care, they just want you to cry louder whilst you RQ.

It seems quite obvious Blizzard wasn’t anticipating quite this much popularity, but a lot of it will be very short lived. People just need to move servers… I get the frustration if you’re part of a big guild that has set their mind on one server, but most people aren’t in that situation. Anyone who’s not been playing retail won’t have a guild, and no allegiance; and most people who are on retail and just trying it out, have no server allegiance either.

People. Need. To. Move. Servers.

No one can have made much progress yet. The game’s only been out for 36 hours and most of that time will have been spent in a queue. There’s no excuse not to move servers, so if you choose not to, that is your choice and not blizzard’s fault. There are other, not-overpopulated servers currently (I believe?)

That being said… Blizzard should absolutely NOT have opened up name reservations 2 weeks in advance. Of course that will make people attached to those certain servers. Getting people to plan ahead on which server they will play on - madness. Not helpful.

ok bye, have fun

If they hadn’t opened up name reservations two weeks prior AND opened up some more realms two weeks prior that would’ve been great…
They opend up 12 more realms in the meantime so I guess that’s a pretty big indicator of how much they didn’t anticipate this and screwew up

I get people being upset at Blizz. That name reservation disaster what over the top, specially since they did it with only 2 PvP realms and gave a reason for people not to want to leave those servers. That was really, REALLY dumb and crooked from Blizz.

That aside though, you can’t really say you’re paying for a service you can’t use because they did open a crap load of servers since then and there’s plenty with zero Q time.

It really isn’t hard to move server, even with 200 guild mates. If it’s that or wait 6 hours in a queue, I wouldn’t hesitate one second.
Just have the G leader post a message on your guild discord “we’re changing server”, done.

You can open endless amount of servers and merge them later. Easy. But no we get layering and 9 hours of queues…
