Dear PVP complainers

Why did you roll on a speciality server, if you don’t like that speciality? PVE is the standard format, but you chose to roll on a PVP server and are now complaining about PVP happening?

Every single person that’s ever played on a PVP server knew that ganking was going to happen. If you had spent 5 seconds investigating the server format you chose, you’d know as well.
I specifically chose a PVE server, because I don’t want to be ganked while questing. Why didn’t you?

Asking for Battlegrounds to be added to reduce PVP on PVP servers, makes no sense. Battlegrounds are available on PVE servers too, if that’s what you want.

Considering all the dissing PvE servers received prior to launch, with all these people lauding the superiority of the PvP experience, with its danger and its wonderful romantic wPvP… I can’t say I’m not mildly amused as all these rose-tinted glasses fall off. Serves them right.

Sadly, I wish I could read something else on the boards, every once in a while. Basically every thread right now is somebody complaining about PvP or somebody telling others not to complain about PvP. Or somebody exhulting in PvP. I mean, world PvP that is.

Because classic PvP’ers bully people who play PvE on the forums + alot of them have said ‘‘You aint playin classic unless you are rollin on a pvp server’’

You seem to miss the point of many complaints.

  1. There always has and always will be ganking. There was ganking before phase two.

  2. Now the big point: The reason why Phase two work so badly compared to vanilla is.
    a) The player attitude of 2019 is more of a min / max and a lot more than in vanilla simply farm HP
    b) in vanilla server population was far less (around 3500 on a healty server). Blizzards bad decision of too few servers an layering makes the amount 2-3 more. So the zerg party just grew to be big as a dinosaur.
    c) in Vanilla people were not in full MC / Onyxia gear in phase 1.4

And to answer your question. I rolled on PVP since I played on PVP in vanilla from September 2005 until I gave up the game in cataclysm. (before that I was no Pve server).

And last but not least. If a lot of the players follow your advice to move to PVE server then most Pvp server will be one factioned. And how much fun is that?

cause i play this game the first time in my life never played any wow at all so there is just alot for a new player going on what you have to decide and im fine with pvp but just not with unfair amounts of alli/horde ratio like my server is close to 20% alli 80% horde you know whats going on there right now xD no matter where go you what you do atleast 10/20+ people waiting for you

just to go to brd it can take you like 1h+ and then at the entrance what a surprise another 30-50 horde awaiting you  its kinda funny but if you dont have all that time to spare playing the game makes no sense you know what i mean?

While not 100% related to the topic, it’s less about people complaining for ganks and more about some people behavior, and the disrespect towards other players that encourages people quiting the game on an already unbalanced server.

So, while being ganked over and over may be a thing like it has been on the past for many years, do you really think it’s ok to not even let people escape from angel with rez sickness and deny them any chance to play the game? This has happened on my server in thorium point for hours, taking the horde the numbers advantage (I estimate it’s a 1 vs 10 ratio) to abuse those players that has no chance to fight back in any kind of regard.

You nearly don’t get any kind of honor since it’s reduced for massive raids, and i seriously can’t find the enjoyment on killing something that cannot fight back, it reached a point where this is not much different than going to low level areas and start ganking the low levels of the opposite faction for no other reason than enjoy making other people frustrated. And this right here is what i find somehow disrespectful.

But whatever, it’s not like people who has the faction and numbers advantage (and a total lack of empathy) will ever understand.

It’s not world pvp, its being a sad bunch of gimps,

It’s 5 am and im still being camped, I havent been able to do any quests since the honor system was enabled, and even getting to an instance takes minimum 30 mins

Isylia, you can’t help them, they only come here to forum to cry and whine, they don’t listen to reason I have copy pasted 40% of my best parts of advice to many new and new threads about this, giving up major part of my free time to help them, and they refuse to listen to reason or to understand that it is their fault and there’s only a few ways they can fix it for themselves.

Many other ppl tried to help them aswell, but they are hopeless.
They come to the forum to whine, not to get help.

I rolled on a PvP server to experience the PvP I remembered from Vanilla/TBC as well as private servers, mind you I managed rank 14 two times in vanilla as well as a couple of times on private servers. Sure I expected it to be a bit more hectic and more min maxed since I assumed that the population would be larger and game knowledge is higher now, however nothing prepared me for this massive zerg.

Pretty much every graveyard and FP from Redridge and up are camped constantly, so even if you spirit rez you get ganked over and over again. Getting to an instance that’s not in some low populated area require 1-2 hours corpse running. Taking a boat ride results in instant death and plenty of quest NPC’s in quest areas are killed frequently. Sure alliance PvP groups/raids exist and clear the area once in a while, but the faction imbalance means that it’s never enough.

This is not world PvP as it was in vanilla or TBC, this is not world PvP as it was on private servers, this is a mindless zerg. I so wanted those tense world PvP moments I missed from back in vanilla and had on private servers, instead I get ganked as soon as I land at a FP.

Sure there are plenty of PvPers from low pop servers that don’t see this, but on overcrowded realms plenty of people are already starting to logout, since apart from joining a PvP raid there ain’t much more you can actually do anymore. If Blizzard don’t want everyone that don’t want to PvP 100% of the time to stop playing BG’s are the only answer.

This is not wpvp, this is a mindless zerg shtfest that has to be addressed by the company selling the product that is currently unplayable.
