There was EVERY indication they were straight. We had loads of cases of them being interested in women in game. Zero of them being interested in other blokes.

Because when art is being done under a political agenda, it’s bad art.
We, Eastern Europeans, remember such time. Before the fall of USSR. Art was literally created to serve the ruling party.

On topic, I always assumed Flynn batted for both sides anyway, right from the start when my characters met him, and Shaw was just so wooden, that I always assumed he was assexual (And there is nothing wrong with either of those sexualities), it was never stated that they were straight or what have you, Flynn was just this kind of Captain Harkness who would jump anything with a pulse it seemed, and we only really get a cue as to character’s sexualities when they enter a relationship, Like we now know Lor’themar and Thalyssra are into each other, and suchlike.
It isn’t harming anyone, so what is the problem?
