Death of Matthias Shaw and Flynn Fairwind

Indeed. I saw people unironically expect Biden to win basically two hours into the night, flip Texas and maybe get 400+ votes. None of that happened, obviously. (LOL)

Still, Biden might easily win, so it hasn’t been a landslide in the other direction either.

There is a lesson we can already take, however: polls have been garbage, worse than in 2016 in places. All the loud claims of corrections after 2016 aside - seems these claims were just noise.

They are a joke

Polls yea, if Democrats pay them some money they show Trump 30%, if they pay more Trump goes down to 25% a little more 20%, depends on the money they get. I never believe polls it is all about manipulation but they manipulate the wrong side, they make their own voters believe “There is no need to vote, gap is too big to close”. hence democrats didn’t vote.

They will go to the supreme court for judgement after the election and Trump will win.

Maybe. Or Trump might win without any courts. Let’s wait and see.

To be fair if he does that he is setting an incredibly undemocratic example, and the USA would take a massive rep nosedive as a country, when it comes to how we regard free and fair elections.

I think it would be a cataclysmic move for American politics, and I do not use the word cataclysmic lightly. It would be a -very- dangerous precedent. Oddly one presciently described in a novel from 1936 “It Can’t happen Here” Which has a very Trump-like figure manipulating the system to cling to power in a way which is pretty Unconstitutional.

Brigante i dare to say withe current situation in the majority of the countries we live in we are alltogheter in a dire situation. You with Boris, we with our DPCM (is an italian acronym which means a decree of the PM not subjected by parlament vote), poland with the abortion law, france with terrorism and covid out of control… i could go further for hour…

Its the first time since i live that i think the future is like the ladder of the chicken coop: short and full of guano.

I think US isnt anymore the “democracy example” and history tell us that big empires during twiilight are always in turmoil.

Another country will take the mantle of “main country on earth”…

I wish I could disagree with your prognosis there, but sadly I fear you are correct, when I live in a country where the Prime Minister -literally- (and I use that word in it’s correct sense!) Hid himself in a Fridge to avoid talking to the press, you know something is going wrong…badly wrong…

Not really. The supreme court already had to decide disputes that decided the outcome of presidential elections twice, this is not new territory.

A clear win (either way) would be preferable for other reasons: acceptance / less room for sabotaging the winner, etc.

BTW, this got amended, correct? Due to the protests.

I knew it was just delayed.

Yes and No. They have had to decide disputes that occurred after the fact. When votes were disputed, like the whole ‘chads’ in Florida thing, This is subtly different. When Trump was ahead, everything was fine, the instant there were more votes for Biden, suddenly everything was not fine.

The results aren’t even in yet, and he has already said that the results are fraud and he would challenge them in Court. Because suddenly he had fallen behind.

That is the difference.

I’ll give you a humorous (But not actually funny) Parallel.

On the night of the Brexit vote (and no, I’m not going into that, just the actual story) Nigel Farrage was being interviewed on TV, when he was losing and said, with -bizarre- accuracy, “If this ends up close, like say 48% to 52%, then this must definitely be regarded as unfinished business, and -not- decisive”

With brilliant Irony when the vote did indeed turn out to be 52% and 48% in his favour, suddenly he changed his mind, and it -was- finished business, and -was- decisive!

I bet he wished he had not said those words on Live TV :stuck_out_tongue:
Still, I fear we are derailing, we shall have to wait and see, I suppose, just like most Americans now…

Yeah, let’s wait and see.

Trump talking about fraud doesn’t mean much, he talked about it the last time as well. He often says silly things. Eg, I am surprised you didn’t mention that he said he basically won already in his night address - he shouldn’t have said that. (Biden also said a couple of weird things, but who cares about what the old man says, he can’t even remember the name of his granddaughter. We all know it’s going to be Kamala ruling if he wins anyway.) But it’s not about tweets, it’s about the votes. So far, I haven’t seen much that would point to fraud so if things continue that way, even though I personally would like Trump to win, I will completely accept Biden, same as my US colleagues. No riots and fires, you know, just “OK then” and life continuing.

They made corrections, but failed to factor in one crucial fact… when the less brazen, are intending to vote for a candidate as controversial as Twitler, they often fib to pollsters.

I find it just very-very divided country. I might be wrong, but it seems so … media seems to be very biased and polarized, and some news are changed for the sake of agendas (I have seen how CNN/FoX change mugshot skin tones to spin a story). And I just see all of virtue signalling and rules, and silencing just part of their culture.

America does not represent me unity, democracy or freedom any more. Not even as illusion or as dream and narrative. it likely never was true, but at least it was a good narrative and PR - to think about. Now it doesn’t have this either.

2020 has been a strange year and it is not even over yet.

Rolling Stone magazine has an article predicting this exact scenario…and the GOP has now tilted the Supreme Court in its favour, for the express purpose of making what they decide to do ‘legal’… the slide to tyranny requires control of the legal system.

Never a truer word spoken/written. Imagine being a kid in the future, going to school and your teacher hands out huge weighty books (assuming it’s not all on tablets by then) the size of War and Peace and thuds them down on your desk “This year we’re doing 2020 in History class” and the kids looking despairingly at the size of these books and going “But Sir/Miss is this whole book all about the year 2020?” and the teacher (a veteran of the Covid Times) just smiles bitterly and go “No Children, that book is only about January up to June, wait till we start studying July to December 2020!”. I pity those children :stuck_out_tongue:

Yea, it was definitely planned from the start. It was so obvious he had to announce this via twitter :smirk: .

Anyway, considering this video activision blizzard have some gay investors because J Allen Brack bragging about pride and proud and social justice. Regardless of backstory there will be more gays every expansion as long as they have those LGBT investors. 1:39 - 1:55 .

My offer has always been a gay council on Horde side, to protect gay rights of all Horde races (Troll, Tauren, Orc, Mag’har Orc, Vulpera uWu etc.).

To wrap up I saw a few mature people with bisexual or gay orientations here, their numbers were alot less compared to raging-immature snowflake ones but if I am not homophobic, it is because of you, those minority that could stay calm.

Lastly, LGBT movement is bound to fail if they keep acting like this, just like how feminism failed. Minorities must not be so loud because all you’ll get in return will be backlash when you act like this. Most of you are like loud neighbours, disturbing. Again, only a few of you deserve respect.
