But its not just Golden, Imo Denuser has done far greater damage than Golden has, and altough i dont like her stuff she did manage to create Rise of the Lich King which was one of the best WoW novels (excluding the “Dont deny me Jaina” part). What im trying to say with this is Golden can writhe… sometimes, but the general problem with current storytelling is the whole writhing team not just Golden.

I agree, Denuser is much much worse than Golden.
And I also agree, the issue doesn’t lie with just Golden.
But saying “She’s a soldier, she’s not at fault for her orders that she willingly follows.” is a terrible analogy.
She’s a mediocre writer (in her current state) at best, with a few golden (see what I did there?) moments and mostly bad writing outside of said moments. There’s no reason to defend her when she once again publishes some bad writing.
And she’s part of the writing team, she’s part of the issue. Not as large of an issue as Denuser is, I wholeheartedly agree, but she’s still part of the reason why WoW writing has been in a steep decline.

Nothing new. I just did Two sides of every tale achi , and during Alliance questing Shaw and Flynn were flirting on several occasions.
Also Flynn made several "gay lines "

When you go to Freehold with him to take four keys , for one enemy npc he say something like this : He is not just a great lover ,but also great fighter

Meh, I don’t see it as any worse than Zekhan becoming an important character simply because he was so ‘memed’.
The story and characters in this game are little more than fanfiction these days, which is why I entirely ignore it (at least the grand story, as I may pay attention to the minor quest stories-- which is in my opinion where the strength of MMOs is).
The problem is different. Not that I’m oppressed, but World of Warcraft is ruined.
Out of so many characters, they could have written a new story. Like… what’s going on in modern Andorhal? How is Heartglen ruled post-Tirion Fordring? What’s going on in Stratholme?
We haven’t heard from Moira from ages. Where’s she? What’s going on with the Dwarven Council? At least Tyrande got some love, though. But what about Velen and the draenei? The draenei needs more lore.
What about Yrel? Why she became what she became? What’s going on on Draenor?
So instead of developing solid lore, they’re showing us Matthias and Flynn kissing. Great move!

Well there is a bit of merrit to that comparison. Overall for some reason Blizzard yet again have decided to tackle more complex issues be it in the field of storytelling or gameplay mechanics.
Not to derail the topic, we will only talk about storylines. Golden is a soldier because she doesnt really decide where the story will go, how this usually works is one of the higher ups tells her “ok so we want you do turn character A into a villaine” and thats it, however she isnt tallented enough or more likely imo lazy to get a beliavable script out. So bassicly yeah she is a soldier and is suffering from bad orders, but she isnt a good soldier either. Give her simple orders and she might just come trough. Correct me if im wrong, wasnt she the one responsible for the Drustvar quests, that storyline was done well, simple but well.

If you start to dissect their work, even the greatest authors tend to repeat themselves after a while…so expecting decades of completely original literature from a computer game license, is probably being a tad overoptimistic.
I was doing a bit of a deep dive on Warhammer 40k the other day…it gets predictable, very, very, fast.
If that is seriously all you have left in the ammo locker, I am disappoint.
If Roux criticising white masculinity didn’t outrage me, attempting exactly the same gambit is very weak sauce, kid.
Shadowlands cannot come soon enough. The daily outrage threads related to gender, sexual preference or skin colours are uninspired to say the least.

I absolutely loved this short story! I really like Christie’s writing style! Would love to see more of this in the future
