Me and my guild are constantly raiding mc and onyxia. We have 4 dps warriors and about 4 rogues which are always raiding in the team.
Now we are going to face bwl and most of the melee has still pre raid weapons as we have seen one sword from onyxia, no deathbringer at all and a couple of brutality sword from Garr
We may have been very unlucky but it looks like that if we bring a new hunter in raid he will get fully dressed in one run while melee have much harder life and nearly no hope to get raid weapons.
Is this happening to someone else or we are just beeing unlucky?
Melee weappns have always been hard to come by, they way raids are composed now doesn’t help. But with bwl being released, the amount of decent 1h weapons increases. So i can assure you it gets better. 4 warriors is nothing, we have 6-8 dps warr and 2 tanks + a few rogues. No DB from onyxia yet. And i think 1 vis’kag.
That’s what i was thinking. Now raid composition includes many melee compared to vanilla. And, at the same time, timing between the release of Molten Core and BWL is much shorter.
Maybe blizzard could have a look into drop rates.
Same for me I’m still using Axe of deep wounds and serathil in off hand I’ve had these weapons for months now with no upgrades dropping. Getting really frustrating. Though the Sword did drop last night for us in Ony but another warrior won it. Probably wont see another one for months now.
Do what we’ve done. Split the rogues for half dagger, half swords. And get the wars in edgemasters so they can use what ever. We’ve got it so our melee has 4 swords, 3 daggers, 3 axes (we’re alliance too). Makes life alot easier, specially with tasty axes coming up.
Just gotta get everyone out the mentality of “I want CTS and mala cos the pretty guide says so”. In reality you’ll get 2 malas in the next 8 months based on averages lol.
Our rogues have daggers, and one warrior got a perditions. Most of us use blue 1handers or the obsidian blade 2hander. Nothing off Rag and no deathbringers.
I lost every roll for Ancient petrified leaf. I even lost a 90 roll for it. Once I was the last hunter who needed it it didn’t drop for another 6 weeks by which point we had recruited another hunter who already had black sinew so he was given it.
I eventually got it the following week.
Otherwise I’ve been fairly lucky with my rolls for armour.
Especially the extremely low droprates of Onyxia-weapons is remarkable, given she resets more often.
Most of our dps-warriors and rogues who’s been clearing it for months are still running around with their prebis…
I know, I know, RNG, but something seems off with these droprates.
we are currently doing 2x BWL, 2x MC and 3-4 Onyxia a week splitting the loot between about 45 mains. Everyone has an alt to fill in open spots to increase loot.
That is what I feel. Droprates on Onyxia seems to be lower than 5% .
It’s not funny to farm for months and have most of melee still fighting with preraid bis in BWL.
With this droprates, most likely, people will even do AQ in pre raid
Ony loot deffo seems a tad low. Been clearing her since what october? We do split runs too. By average should of had 4 weapons drop, we’ve had 1 axe.
